Grimes said in an interview this song was crafted in response to her mix of sad and excited emotions during pregnancy and not feeling well physically. It hit me even harder listening again knowing what kind of place she was in. When I heard it first, I was very ill and the song was SOO soothing and sad to me but BEAUTIFUL.

I cannot thank this song enough. It broke my four year writing block and now I am making finishing touches to my new book and I am still so inspired by this song. Thank you!

going through an excruciating break up with my best friend of 20 years. in the last few years, I have lost everyone. my therapist and my service dog are the only ones left. and music...this song captures emotions I can't put into words. it captures the joys and sorrows so eloquently.

My favourite part is at 3:54. You think you’ve finally reached the end of this long descent through the layers of the earth, but then that chorus comes in again and you just keep descending, going deeper and deeper…. I can really feel how much thought and detail Grimes put into this song. I’m in awe.

I've never been stuck in any one genre, but I can be a bit of a music snob at times and tend to fall back on the oldie but goodies when I lose faith in the newer generation of music makers. I found myself curious about this creative young woman and have to say I'm so glad I was! It's always such a thrill to come across such a talented artist.
