I love when Monroe is all "I should be killing you" to Aunt Marie and she opens her eyes and tells him to take his best shot aand you cna tell that Monroe almost pisses his pants.
Makes it even better when he turns around and straight up rips a dude's arm off. If somebody who can casually detach an arm is afraid of a sick woman laying in a hospital bed...that tells you all you need to know about Aunt Marie's street cred.
I've been waiting months and months for this day. Oh, thank you very much. I hope we can enjoy this show together. Lots of great times to come. Not many people will agree with me, but I loved this show more than Teen Wolf or Lucifer. It just seemed more original and the stories and journeys of the main characters is far more compelling, in my opinion. It's a show I'll never forget and can watch over and over again for weeks on end
Me too. Loved both Lucifer and Teen wolf dont get me wrong , and Im glad we'll get another season of TW, but Grimm is so heavy in original lore, and it was great to binge during long Supernatural hiatuses. It just has smth the other 2 lacked for some reason. The darkest good writing Teen wolf ever got was with Nogitsune, and I never cared for the new characters they kept adding, it started to feel like another woke CW show. If you really pay attention, Grimm kept the original characters in the main focus, and the new ones served their plots, not the other way around like Teen wolf, just to add more filler episodes and prolong the show for views. Gurl, I started the show for Dereks abbs, not annoying boys that were casted after s3, cuz teen girls think they're hot. 20 years old me didnt find them hot at all
@@anycullen21 the most I enjoyed of Teen Wolf, I think, was during S3 and S6, everything else, was just a bit mediocre for me, whilst Lucifer had really great characters but the stories surrounding those great characters never really matched up for me, especially when you consider the source material from which the character is based. If they had done the comic book version, as far as the stories surrounding the characters, I think it would have been better. The cases were not anything I haven't seen before. It tried to be a cross between something like Castle and a supernatural show but in my opinion, Castle was way better at the procedural stuff. I think it really suffered from that duality, the cases were fun at times but they weren't anything new and groundbreaking and the supernatural side of things just suffered more because they didn't focus more on it, so in the end, I never really liked either side of the crimes or the overarching stories, I just kept coming back for the characters themselves, because they were done well, despite all those other things. Grimm, however was just excellent through and through for me, because the procedural side of things was always made unique by the wesen factor, and so, every single case was interesting in it's own way, and the first 3 seasons do a great job of building the lore and the characters, whilst the last three just knock it out of the park, not only with developing the characters more to where they need to be, but also with the overarching stories, leading in to the finale. It was a great time for me, watching this show for the 6 years it was on. It's an experience I'll never forget.
I'm glad you're continuing Grimm. I love all the lore and twists on fairytale that come into this show. And I really like the concept of these bloodlines of born warriors. It's fun
Yay, glad to see the Grimm reactions are finally here! gonna have to go back and rewatch your reaction to the pilot again since it's been a while... I do recall being skeptical when it first came out and thought that it was going to try to be "Supernaturalesque", but liked it and it found it's own identity and I really enjoyed the series.. looking forward to you discovering how the lore and characters develop and how they are inspired by the Faerie Tales.... great reaction as always, D! a CTU for you and keep em coming!
6:02 Dakara: I think she can put a smile on your face. Me: The irony that Juliette is married to Nick in real life. Your comment may just be a little too on the nose perhaps.
This upload made my day! Checked in on RU-vid during lunch & saw it posted & I immediately grabbed my sandwich & watched it. Grimm does develop & as I said in the pilot, to me, this show has the best developed "monster" culture or cultures. So, I understand you feeling like you need to learn much more, even from the first couple of episodes you can tell the villains all have cultures. As for the Reapers, I really enjoyed that touch, the play on a Grim Reaper being the reaper of Grimms. It was amazingly awesome to have lunch while watching a reaction from you Dakara, been a while since I've done that, thanks for the entertainment!
It's one of my all time favorites, this show. Not only does it have great stories and characters and development, but it also has one of my favorite love stories on television. I'll never forget it
Great to see you reacting to this! As you say, you'll be learning along side him as the series progresses & you won't have to wait long for the basics to be explained. One thing that isn't explained (& isn't really a spoiler) is the names of the creatures, it helps if you know German (I don't), eg the Jagerbar is a combination of Hunter + Bear, which is what they are & do. Monroe is a Blutbad & what that means can be seen in his ripping the arm of that poor thug.
To think that David Giuntoli (cop, Nick Burkhardt) got his tv break in MTV's Real World: South Pacific back in 2003. I used to watch Road Rules and I remember watching a few episodes of when he was on that show and didn't realize it was him til years later. I was around 17/18 yrs old at the time that show aired. But yes, I love this show. Ever since Grimm ended, there has been potential talk to bring it back. But who knows if they will. I know that currently Bitsie Tulloch (Juliet) is doing the CW's Superman & Lois show and appears from time to time in the Arrowverse shows. And David's doing A Million Little things. But I do know that the Grimm cast got along so well with one another and had so much fun doing the show. And that's always good to hear from a cast ensemble. This show can flesh out and expand its universe. In my head, Buffy and Nick exist in the same world. The way both of these shows told their story and lineage along with the mystery and folklore of these beings that co-exist with the humans, I just felt that Buffy and Nick could come from the same world. Would love to see them onscreen together fighting at each other's side. That would be EPIC. I mean, did you see all that history in Aunt Marie's trailer? The weapons, the books, the concoctions, makes me think about Buffy's own stash lol.
I remember binging this series with my son a couple years ago. You're gonna love it. It will take a few episodes to really start coming together but it's worth it and just gets better with time.
you are right about it being a grower. story and character. I almost did not watch more than the first 2 episodes because it seemed kind of meh. but it gets way better as the series progresses. Trust me, you will love the show.
Yeah, Grimm seems like an underrated show that more people should watch. While I would've liked more than 6 seasons, this is one of the few shows that doesn't really have a bad season, imo.
@@Guardian582 I genuinely loved Season 5 because of the Nick/Adalind relationship and character development and while the first half seems a bit underwhelming, I loved the 2nd half of Season 5.
@@kevincola3184 that whole 'relationship' is why i have a problem with it, considering everything in the first 4 seasons...yoru basically saying what she did all throughout those 4 seasons were ok, and he should just forgive and forget, i wouldnt, no woman would forget THAT incident if it were reversed
I would like to just say that officer woo, the officer that you didn't know where you knew him from, he was also in Pirates of the Caribbean. I believe it is either 2 or 3 that he was in. also I love your reactions, its really nice to see someone react to Grimm.
Loving your bangs Darakara and the Grimm content too. Oh, you're gonna see a lot of beasts, the show is a bit slow burn like Lucifer was in the first 3 seasons but the fantasy aspect is helping the weekly crime stories.
you're totally right about this show being a grower. the first season is fun and interesting, a ton of cool information to learn; the following seasons are, naturally, the payoff of all the character and world building
enjoyed your reaction like always :) dont worry, answers will come dakara, monroe is probably one of my favorite characters btw ! cant wait for more episodes and see your journey :)
Finally! The 'time has come'. And i'm here for it. Not a Christmas Gift but an Easter Surprise. It will be a great journey alongside you. Cheers from Italy. (terrible grammar. Sorry)
So glad I ckd you out again. Watched your S1-5 reactions to Supernatural, and really, really enjoyed them! Now you're doing another show I'm into. Yay. (Would freaking love to see you with OUAT ♡)
I love grimm.... Show it to family members and they love it 2 . Its honestly I would rate it 2nd to supernatural in all time great shows Please keep watching love your reactions
YES YES YES YES THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH 😘 AH How I love this show 🤩I know you might not get as many views as you get with the Boys or Buffy, we are a smaller fandom but a loyal one, like SPN
This episode should have had Sean confident Nick will leave the police department to pursue his duties as a GRIMM. Adalind having advanced degrees in criminal, corporate, and civil law allows Sean to make a request to look into Nick's Aunt for possible complication for the department that gets Adalind assigned to the matter. Adalind will interview the EMT's and find out about the key. Nick's case that involves A bear type Wesen reveals that the journals deal more with how to find and kill Wesen than their customs. Nick turns to Monrow to try to get more information. The mother turning into an actual bear is really stupid. No-one goes after Nick's aunt at the hospital where she remains in a coma. Nick checks his aunt's phone for contact information for the GRIMMs and there in no information on the phone. Nick should realize he doesn't want to do things the way the GRIMMs have always done things. Nick goes to Monrow's house with a piece of glass to replace the broken window and a 6 pack of beer and discusses a partnership with Monrow.
always avoided this show because I thought it was one of those "girlie shows" like vamp diares, riverdale and charmed reboot, full of beta males and p0litics, but maybe i was wrong? 6 seasons out i saw on torrents
I didn't liked the boys series thats why I didn't watched your reactions ... For me it's like forever ... Thank God "The Grimm" reactions are here... What about "Teen Wolfs"??? plzzzzzzzzzzzz
