I can’t believe you spotted that knife. That would have been so easy to miss. I lost my beloved Benchmade CQC7 given to me on my wedding day in 1997 by my best friend and fellow knife geek. That was years ago. I hope someone found it that can appreciate what a cool knife that is. Glad you found it bro!

I have carried my Norseman every work day during the pandemic. I spray it down every day with 70% alcohol to disinfect since I'm in a high exposure place. Absolutely no problems with my knife. Took it apart one time to clean the pocket lint out. The norseman is as easy as a sebenza 21 to disassemble and reassemble. Only issue I had was to have a pocket clip screw back out and loosen. I used blue Loctite after a break down. problem solved. Your pivot is upside down! ;P

You could make a video showing how you sharpen the norseman. That would be nice 👍

Just got a FullTrack with the internal stop pins in it & never gave that debris possibly getting in there a thought. At least it has the onboard tool to disassemble if needed. Glad you found that Sebenza.

Haha i was so mad when i found out about the metal sidewalls. It was a big tractor trailer tier so I'm assuming that's why they used steel instead of nylon

@@neroknives1828 Hi Nero, You have nice Informative Videos. Can you please do a Video on Edge Trailing vs Edge Leading Strokes in Knife Sharpening ? Also when you sharpen a Knife, The Blade Spine is away from you, the knife edge is pointing towards you, While Jdavis Technique he alternates. Can you please do a Video on the Pros and Cons of those difference. Thank you

I can't believe the spine of that blade was that banged up. Never even seen that before.

I got a Kizer with internal stops that had the same symptoms and it was all down to pocket lint. Internal stops are 2nd cool for sure but i am now 100 a fan of external stops à la Hinderer. Self cleaning and doesn't attract gunk into the pivot area.

It's hard to get more maintenance free than a hinderer on nylon

@@neroknives1828 i always saw bearings as 2nd cool but you single handedly made me understand the difference between why my nylon washer knives held up better than my PB knives. I still love all three now that i understand the strengths and weaknesses

I had this happen to my norseman just the other day actually, while moving. Went to go scrap with the tip and the thing closed on my fingers. Luckily opening/closing it while running it under water fixed it for me.

The strech doesn't need a whole regrind just knock down the burrs on the scratches that interfere with cutting and leave some scars behind to tell the story

Hey venny I have a question my birthday is may 22st and my mom always gets me a nice knife as a item I can keep forever so my question is which would you think is the Best Buy and best knife that can do it all from strength cut and heavy duty, Curtiss f3 large wharnnie, strider sng, Medford protorian genisis, Medford infraction, shirogorov f95nl with green Micarta inlay, or a hinderer xm-18 3.5 I’m so torn

Since you are a real user of knives I have to ask, I am looking to buy my first CRK, I think I have settled on the Inkosi Insingo, do you think I should wait for the S45VN steel that is rumored or is s35 plenty good on CR knives?

It is a really cool knife, bro. Nice pick up. Question, though. How does that blade perform when using it on a cutting board? (Not that it was designed as a chef knife, but ya know).
@neroknives1828
@neroknives1828 4 года назад
It'll actually cut most things on a cutting board relatively well. I can add in a clip while I'm doing the 2 week carry and review. The only thing to be careful about is i have a wood cutting board and the tip can dig deep if you're being careless.

The Grimsmo Norseman is a ugly knife
@michaele7896
@michaele7896 4 года назад
At that price point, knives aren't ugly, they're eccentric.
@Brad-vs1lk
@Brad-vs1lk 4 года назад
They might be ugly but that in itself is the whole essence of what the knife is all about! Follow 8 years of videos to appreciate what it stands for!!!! IT IS NOT THE SAME AS EVERY OTHER KNIFE!! Not only that but after you get used to it which takes about two weeks it has quite a lot of advantages for an over 3.5 inch blade plus it also gets a LOT of attention. I have over 50 very expensive knives in my collection and it has hands down the best action over any of them and everyone wants to try it. Then they all want one for themselves!!!!! They are now in the process of relaunching the RASK. Got my name in for that lottery as well!!
