He is talking about what he is capable of, such as what hit he is doing with the right timing and precision.Obviously you need to adjust the sensivity to get a decent audible sound at such speed. In that case we can also talk about those guitarists that plays hella fast on their electric guitar but are completly unable to reproduce it with the same power and energy on an acoustic one? It doesn't make sense to point this at this speed, even if they have the capacity to do it on their electric guitar in the first place. You have to have something to adjust the sensivity to play such things with a clear sound unless you are not human
Actually, I do play and study jazz drumming. I find it very intresting and believe that it will help me in the long run, but I know I named this video "Grindcore" Drumming for a reason.
Sup People! Thank you all for the great comments/views. Couple FAQs I'll answer for you all. What set is that? Acoustic drum set with mesh heads and triggers that go straight to a module. Why? Cause I live in an apartment in NYC, so quiet practice is possible. Why don't I play on an acoustic? Im on my acoustic sets all the time. I shot this vid literally before a SUFFOCATION show lol and then it got some views! Finally, how do I play so fast? Practice and Passion will get you there! A LOT OF IT!

Intensity doesn't even cone into play on V Drums. Have you not played on electric drums before. It is cheating. Try to blast on electric drums then do it on acoustics. It really is cheating.
Like, if grindcore were just drums, I might listen to it. It's the pig growls that fuel my hate for grindcore. And the 30-second songs. And also, how did he play the snare so fast with one hand?
Jakub Krýda Are you joking? Do you know what it's like play with that much speed and intensity while maintaining control? It's so easy to play very fast and sloppy but this guy sounds GOOD.
xseq xqwe For the purpose of grindcore and extreme metal, this musician's got the right stuff. I thought we were arguing styles which need skill not 'music feeling' on drums? The skill for the chosen genre here is undeniable. For dynamics and feel, there are other genres. Grindcore drumming isn't about that.
Drumming like that may seem like a bunch of bull but really this is professional drumming. Check out this band called S.C.A.T. Along with the album Apopatophobia then you would understand show this drumming is music.
That's the point of grindcore drumming. Grindcore is about pure intensity. The only technique comes with the vocals, and the only groove comes with who's listening to it.

Why do so many people say "You couldn't hear those gravity blasts on my snare?" When is the last time you saw a guitar solo and said, "if you were playing a nylon string classical guitar it would be hard to hear all those hammers/pulls/bends/slides from the back of the room the way you play 'em, and all the plam muting would suck?"
i feel those things.... blasting is awesome. this guy does a really nice job and the electric drum set sounds great. i love how its part electric and part acoustic. its like Frankenstein. i hope to be as good as a musician as he is someday. good luck bros and check out knelt rote from oregon. they are somethin else.
what a lot of blabla comments .... it's grindcore, some will like, some will hate. Each one his own style of music. I love/like all kinds of Metal, Punk, Hardcore, Oi, Grindcore, Noise, Industrial, ... and so what if he plays electronic or acoustic instrument.
@megatallica999 This is a acoustic drum kit hooked up with mesh heads and triggers for quiet play and the closest that I can get to a real kit because I live in a apartment in NYC. I have a 10 Piece Pearl kit at a studio, so to answer all the comments " Yes I do play on acoustic sets....all......the........time." Also thank you all for the great comments everyday, it inspires the hell out of me.
