With how much steam was coming off that stump, I'm surprised you didn't catch it on fire with the machine and burn it down. It might have been faster too. Sometimes I saw more steam then wood chips. All in fun. Speaking of old skid steers, I use/drive an old skid steer made by a "Mustang", that the only "functional" electrical things in that thing is the starter, alternator, and the fuel shut off. Every time we get it repaired, the different repair men ask if we would sell it to them. I'm guessing the fact that it has all mechanical systems is a rare thing anymore and highly sought after for its reliability. Great video!

It depends on how long we are going to be on a site. Like this job, we were only there for a very short time. It would have taken a long time to get a fire big and hot enough to burn the stumps and chunks. It was faster to haul them off on this one.

Do you run aftermarket hydraulic connectors that supply less resistance on the hydraulic fluid at the connection point. Thus building less heat due to friction on the oil. I found a company online that as an after-market coupler that says they can reduce up to 15 percent of your hydraulic oil temp due to their design that reduces.. what is the average temperature of your hydraulic fluid when you're running the head heard? Thank you I enjoy watching your videos. We're located in Ohio.

I get this makes for fun tv, but as a contractor, that was the biggest waste of time and money both in human resource and the wear on the blades. Especially when you had a perfectly good excavator with a grappling thumb to just dig it out and drop it a few times to break loose all the dirt. Then load it out. to sit there and piece grind for more than an hour was just painful to watch.
