Nice job. I am a hobby machinist (risk management professor for work) who has an 'unfortunately not--much-used' BS in Mechanical Engineering. I am trying to make my own chamber reamers for experimental purposes (instead of paying $400 and waiting 16 weeks to order one). This is a nice set of instructional videos. You are crisp and clear and the data density is quite good. Please keep it up.

When I was young, off hand grinding was they way we moved up. Nearly every interview involved the question, "What tools can you grind? Here, take his (tap, turn, drill, etc.) Use that bench grinder. The material is carbon steel. Let me see it hen you're done. I'm going for coffee, I'll be in my office when yo arre done.

I'm from Germany and I wondered what this "HSS" does mean written on drills you can buy at home improvement shops but I never looked it up. Now I know more. Thank you for those interesting insigths :)
