I wanted to try out the Griot’s RW&W. Many people have asked me about it so it’s time I make the video. Take a look as I explain the process of dilution, waterless, and rinseless washing. This is an excellent product and super versatile.
Been using this product going on 4 years. This has become my ultimate favorite way of washing my vehicles. Living in Minnesota, I have a heated garage and I literally wash my truck every day, takes about 10 minutes.
Great information! Looks like another contender for waterless/rinseless washing. I'm glad to see its multiple uses as well and probably can be found in some auto parts stores.
Right on time!!! I just ordered this stuff last week! LOL Glad to see you review it. I had been contemplating purchasing this stuff for almost a year and finally broke down and bought a bottle when I ordered some other refills (Foaming Surface Wash & Poly Gloss) I needed from Griots. I also bought a bottle of their Ceramic Wash and Coat (Green stuff) as I was just curious to see how that stuff worked also when I do a bucket wash. Plus I had a coupon that they sent me last time that gave me $30 worth of free microfibers too with the order! I do pretty much the same thing as you when it comes to rinseless, I never mix up 2 to 5 gallons. The max I need is usually a half a gallon to a gallon at most using distilled water. That's plenty of solution to do my whole car plus the wheels. Especially since I pre-spray it with the waterless mix first which to me is the best way because it starts to break down any dust and dirt first for 15 to 30 seconds. 1/2 gallon is usually plenty for me. Makes the product itself go that much farther because you aren't wasting it mixing up 2 to 5 gallons like they say to mix up in a bucket which is WAY too much. I have also found (like you also show here) that mixing up the solution in a normal small bucket (without a grit guard) is perfectly fine because I never re-dunk the microfiber cloth used back into the solution. I just use 3 or 4 towels at most (flipping them in quarters front and back) and finish the wheels with the last towel used. Works fantastic.
Exactly, no real need for a big bucket. Although, I do have a 5 gallon bucket with a gamma lid filled with a rinseless solution as well. That one stays on the side and when I’m not making a video I throw some fresh towels in there and use them for Rinseless washing. Once I finished, I close the gamma lid and the solution stays in there pretty good for the next wash. Maybe, I’ll do a video on that.
@@DetailingBreakdown Yeah, that is a great idea. My only problem (which I hope to rectify soon) is I don't have deionized water. I have to buy distilled water in the gallons so at present it's just easier for me to mix up either a 1/2 or one gallon at a time. The gamma seal lid is a really good idea though. I'll have to give that a shot in the future. That would make a good video tip though for one of your future videos. I doubt there are very many specific detailing videos on that particular subject. I know some detailers and enthusiasts do mix up the solution(s) in their bucket and use the gamma seal lid and then take the bucket with them to wherever they are travelling to such as a detailing job, car show, coin operated car wash for those who don't have water or a pressure washer, etc.
@@joevanseeters2873 ya, many people use the gamma lid exactly for the reasons I stated. Maybe you could buy 5 gallons of distilled water and pour them in a bucket, put the Rinseless in and store it with the gamma lid. A little laborious but should go a long way in between fill ups. Also, you probably just need to add a gallon every few washes so it’s not like you will need to buy and haul 5 gallons from the market all the time. Maybe just 1 a week or so. Keep topping off your solution and add some product every once in a while.
Hi Ben! If you’re looking for a Waterless Wash that’s infused with Sio2 and beads water like Ceramic Coating check out our Ceramic Waterless Wash. Has three months of protection, can be used on glass, paint and wheels. Extremely slick and tons of gloss. Definitely one of our best sellers! Let us know if you have any questions!
I notice that you don’t remove the excess of liquid solution from the towel. I squeeze my towels and it produces the same result. Does having a wetter towel has any additional benefits? More lubricity perhaps?
I do squeeze them. But I let them stay with plenty of solution. Usually, I’ll have them to the point where they barely drip a few drops. It’s just to where my liking is. People say if overly saturated then the dirt won’t get into the towel. So, I always give a little squeeze it may just not show on camera.
@@DetailingBreakdown I have a gallon of this stuff and would recommend to anyone looking to start doing rinseless wash. How does it compare to the Duragloss 932? I have yet to try it out. Thanks
@@J.____ the Duragloss is way thicker. Both are fantastic, and honestly, it’s been a minute since I’ve used the Duragloss. I’ll have to try that next wash and see the difference. I know I really enjoyed this one. A gallon is a but expensive unless u get the coupon compared to the Duragloss. Duragloss is less then half the price. So, probably Duragloss for the win in that regard. Hard to beat Duragloss.
oops...no biggie but in the beginning where u stated dilution ratio is 320:1 and said its about a 1 1/2 gal....is way off...320/1 is 2 1/2 gal to an ounce....so value isnt too bad. i dont like anything in my wash...bucket or rinseless....after cleaning/washing i love to put on protection/topper....thats my personal preference...like elixir/nv lustre/igl ecoshine/ artdeshine qd etc...nice vid tho
Ben, how is your marolex foamer performing?.. I like the idea of them, I had previously bought an Ik foamer and it clogged up all the time. I had to stop using it because my blood pressure would sky rocket.. I want to use it for wheel and tires etc(ie brake buster).. let me know your thoughts...I would probably buy the smaller version than the one you have
@@DetailingBreakdown crap, ok I mis remembered.lol..I've got the small ik 1.5..its a love hate relationship with it. Love it when it works hate it when its clogged up ..thanks for all the product reviews..I really like this channel
Anytime u touch the car, u can cause swirls my friend. I’m not here to convince you. But I’ve been doing this for years as have many many others and it’s a great way to clean your car.
