white belts.... lots of hours in the mat to change that chicken mind...I think that guys knows everything and have nothing more to learn from these monsters in front of them... so, whats left beside chatting?
I would pay alot to fly from europe just to get one lesson from such a great coach and former Judo fighter Jimmy Pedro and those two ignorant idiots standing there right next to this great guy chatting to each other and making stupid jokes! They don't deserved to be there!
Thank you, Bernardo and the legend Jimmy Pedro ! Bernardo, a humble suggestion to you and the cameraman: Please next videos don't allow nobody talk and stay on the back of the scene.Everybody can notice the moment Sensei Jimmy Pedro look these disrespectful John Nothings on the back!Excellent video , Champion !Thank you!
Those two guys in the back there just chatting away and even laughed and high fived WHILE a technique was being shown by esteemed high level black belts is utterly disrespectful! They don't even have the COMMON SENSE, and the DECENCY to be quiet and go elsewhere!
Guy on the left was a total douche. No respect or etiquette. Hopefully he learned some. I kept hoping throughout the video that Bernardo would turn around and tell them both to STFU.
Yeap i don't know how it works in other schools but at my local gracie barra once a teacher starts speaking your turn it off to let the other and yourself profit from his knowledge, that weird that no respect was shown while what he was demonstrating was actually a pretty rare lesson on a specific subject.
Man chatterboxing when such high level instruction is on display by two of the all time greats is just blasphemy. I'd literally quit my job and swim through a sea of sharks to have the opportunity to learn from either of these two gentlemen.
loved the video, as a blue belt in bjj I can't stand the loudness of the two in the back. Maybe they didn't know it was being filmed but the level of disrespect is quite astonishing. I've seen kids show more self control
I competed against Jimmy in my late teens & early 20s after making the national team in the senior divisions and he killed me on the matt. But another Olympic Bronze medalist and para Olympic coach who trained athletes with Jimmy and went to the last 2 Olympics with him who was my coach on the national team is Ed Liddie. You may want to have some videos with him also as he has techniques that were not mastered by Jimmy nor nobody back then however several over the years had mastered the same techniques but for the most part they are athletes from other countries.
Bernardo, you make so many awesome videos! Keep it up. You help me so much. And thank you to Jimmy Pedro for sharing your Olympic-grade teachings with us. Awesome video.
Thanks for the great video nothing but respect for the coach, love grip related training. Excellent explanation! But those white belts are dense. They couldn't take a hint when coach yelled at them. They wouldn't even notice if someone walked up and RNC them.
Love the little details in this vid. Like Bernardo cringing in pain from Jimmy's grip breaks. And Jimmy raising his voice during the demo to tell his students to STFU. What an OG lol
Good tech for the cold . Judo still has its usefulness regardless of the mma thoughts . It is used there just not as much as wrestling and jujitsu . Props to Pedro and Bernardo.
The one on our right is Travis Steven’s regular uke in all his BJJ videos nowadays, and featured as the ‘model’ on many of Fuji’s gis on their website currently.
This is what happens when the instructor loses control. You cant blame whitebelts for doing whitebelt things. The instructor shouldve prepared beforehand and moved them off the mat, or gave them something to do.
This would be a much better video if it weren't for all the background noise. The two jokers in the back of the mat not paying any attention are being even more disrespectful.
TheD1c3 well yes, but in judo club we don't train with the exact rule ser from ijf, if you are not a competitive judoka you don't need to limit your techniques, anyway a competitive judoka usually beat me down easy even with ijf ruleset...
The guys in the background had such an excellent opportunity to watch and learn from a legend, but now they have to see themselves acting like idiots in a video forever.
Please remove those two from the gym. There are so many people (like me) who wish to meet you for just a split second but will likely never get the chance to.
Two of the best at their craft are giving a free Masterclass lesson - and two white belts are standing right there, completely clueless, cackling away. Completely disrespectful. The lesson is fanstastic however!
