GRIP6 VS SlideBelts | Gear Up! (Ep.5) | Survival Belt EDC Review 

i have a grip 6 ninja and use it in plainclothes police work, it's very practical and strong enough to handle a Shield 9mm, extra mag, cuffs, and radio. I'm ordering their new 1.75 inch for even more support.

I swear that lifting him off the ground was what I needed to know/see to be sure it wouldn't slip. Great video guys.

I just ordered the Grip6 belt from their website. I got the black ninja one along with two other colour buckles. I should have it in a week or two I guess. The other belt you reviewed; I agree that it's a bit unpractical. I want a belt to be ....well, a belt. I don't need a Swiss army knife around my waist. :) Good review guys. Cheers!

I've owned 2 Slide Belts, canvas and leather look, for the last 4 years, I love the simplicity of minute adjustments and the durability. Just what I wanted. One buckle just broke at the hinge because I kept it too tight too many times and just ordered a replacement buckle.

For your customers that conceal carry a firearm or tote gear Kore belts are the way to go. They are the best for that and the selection is awesome. I have 3 of their belts and they are top quality and very adjustable. Just a suggestion.

For me, I choose the grip6.. I have 3 and they all work and feel exactly the same. They're perfect! The slide belts are cool too, I've owned one of them before. The only issue I had with it was that the leather quality was pretty poor; it didn't look or feel like real leather, and I've never been a fan of the ratcheting system. It's just too awkward to tighten up a slide belt in a quiet bathroom. Not very practical and I felt they were overpriced. For my money, the grip6 is better.

I owned a slide belt not that exact one but they work good until you sit down or start to move a lot, then the teeth just won't hold the strap! So i just ordered the grip 6 hope it's better.

How does it compare to the trayvax cinch? Im curious as im am in between which of the two i should buy

That buckle on the survival belt looks like it would dig into my protruding gut.

Hi Mike, Ted here in the UK , been a silversmith/minter for 50 odd yrs and buckles are one of my main interest. It was 45 yrs ago I designed a buckle with the strap going in from front to the back! just like you have done tho mine were somewhat more complex than yours. what I would like to see , what you dont show is the fixed strap end in detail. sny chance of a close up how you have made this? Await your reply.

I like the sturdy build of the Slidebelt more than the Grip6 you showed. In checking both websites. The Slidebelt guys have a lot of great and comparable selection options. I think I like the look, beefy and handsome construction, and versatility of these more than what I saw with the Grip6 belts. I think you should at least carry both.

I would like to see a comparison of the Groove Belt by "Groove Life". It is touted to be a fine EDC piece of equipment for my personal EDC, if you know what I mean. I'll subscribe and I'll be looking for the comparison mentioned above. Great presentation!

I just got the grip6 belt in a few days ago and I just love it, now I hope it last a long time for the amount I payed for it. On the survivor belt looks like the ratchet belts that I had and the claw that grips onto the belt will brake off and always cutting your belt and gripping it back on.

I do like slide belts, wear one to work every day. Hadn't seen this James Bond version. All the gadgets seem great for a camping trip or covert mission, but the ones I have work fine. But I found this for the other belt, which I'd seen on Facebook, but wanted to see a review. I'm kinda convinced I should try one. Liked the video, it was funny. I'm not a survivalist, but hey, surviving is good, right? I'll subscribe and check out your store.

NOT SO FAST! While the Slidebelts Survival Buckle is not for me, I instead pair their Wide Buckle with their Survival Strap in order to arrive at belt perfection. You cannot beat the ease with which the buckle is adjusted. The teeth are molded into the entire length of the strap, making it useful for other purposes in a pinch. I see that someone below claims to use the Grip6 belt for "plainclothes police work", which is ridiculous. Neither of these belts was designed as a holster belt, but the Slidebelts Survival Strap is undeniably more resistant to vertical flex for that task. For years I have regularly carried full size handguns outside the waistband using these belts with no damage so far. I have six such belt combinations, and I rarely wear any other type of belt. They are pricey, but worth it, and Slidebelts runs seasonal sales.

Super wedgy! Not as devastating as the atomic wedgy, but it'll do in a pinch.

Your review was misleading as you compared the 6grip to the cumbersome Slidebelt. I just bought the 6Grip and it Is much harder to put on than the Slidebelt. The loose end of belt goes under the buckleon the Slidebelt and is MUCH easier to adjust.

Slide belts suck. The teeth don't hold the belt strap securely. It slips out ALL the time. And the ratchet strip stitching comes loose too which is a pain in the ass when you want to open the belt

Save your money. So I got one and a month later realized it looks odd and not great with a lot pants or situations. I hung it up in my closet and forgot about it. I started wearing my leather belts again because they look better. It's what I would term a gimmick purchase.
