When I got on this ride with my family of four, another family of four came with us. I don't know how it happened, but throughout the whole ride and all the drops, I stayed pretty dry. We were right before we went under the bridge, and one of the daughters of the other family said: "Isn't there supposed to be a geyser or something?" AND RIGHT THEN, I MEAN SERIOUSLY, RIGHT AFTER SHE SPIT OUT THAT LAST SYLLABLE, the geyser blew up right on top of me and got me completely soaked. XD It was freaking seriously like someone did that on purpose.
Lol the same thing happened when I went on a water ride! one time I was at Seaworld San Diego, and I went on the river rapids ride there. And somehow, one of the kids on the raft stayed dry the whole time. And she was the ONLY one who was not wet. Then, right at the end of the ride, she said,"why haven't I gotten wet yet?"and the exact SECOND that she finished saying the last word of the sentence, the raft turned so she was facing backwards, and a giant wave splashed up and over her whole body and got her wet from head to toe! It was JUST LIKE your story!
+Isabel Riley on Pirates were you sitting in the front or the middle or back???? Cuz I went with my family in December it was my first time going on Pirates and we HAD to SIT in the FRONT and I got soaked I literally was the MOST wettest and I was in the middle of my parents and they kinda got wet I was like WHAT?!Now pirates is my FAVORITE ride and DISNEYLAND/DISNEYWORLD!!
My grandfather took me to Disneyland after my grandmother succumbed to cancer in an attempt to make me feel better. We went on this ride, and after we got off we stood on this bridge watching people get sprayed by the geyser at the end!
One time when it was my brothers birthday we went to Disneyland and soon it became later in the day. My brother noticed that the lines for the grizzly Rapids were not filled at all, and we ended it up going on this ride 5 times XD
This has to be one of the best rapid rides in the world! Never seen such drops on one before and the surrounding is absolutely stunning. I hope I get to visit this sometime!
BellinghamsterTrail 6 minutes :) ..and really worth riding in the off season when there's little to no line. Just ride it last so you can go get warm in the car on the way home.
LOVE this ride!! Makes me miss having an annual pass. Whenever there was too long of a wait on my other favorite rides like Radiator Springs Racers, then I would just get a single rider's pass and go on this (my parents don't like wet rides, they just did other things). The single rider's line is usually like 5-10 minutes, though they do sometimes stop giving out the passes if there are too many people. I love going as a single rider because you always meet fun people, I got on a ride with a group of college students and they were hilarious!! I would always ride this until every spot on my clothing was wet, and that was like 5 times in a row with BARELY any wait. Score!! If you want to know where the single rider's passes are, there should be employees standing in the middle of the big grizzly bear statue and the main rider's entrance. Just ask them if they have any--if they're holding what looks like green cards, they're probably it!
I'm going with my friends to DISNEYLAND and its gonna be their like...first time going there, oh I'm gonna be laughing my head off when they ride CALIFORNIA screamin, tower of terror, and other rides
I see he is practicing Social distancing. He's the only one on the boat. Leave it to Disney Imagineers to turn a run of the mill white water rafter ride into an amazing adventure. A great ride.
One time when I was little when my mom was waiting for the parade to start, my brother and I rode this thing 11 times in a row, and I tell you, after 11 times of grizzly river run straight, it still kicks the most ass.
the first time i rode this i was 10 and terrified of rollercoasters (still kind of am). it was our last day, so we decided to wait in the enormous line. well, waiting made me more nervous and i had to go to the bathroom SO BAD. when we finally got on, we hit a rock and i hit my face on my mom's shoulder and pinched the corner of my eye with my glasses. i was crying almost the entire time out of fear, nerves, pain, and the immense need to go to the bathroom, but i still had an amazing time!! such a great ride!!! and so amazing in the evening :)
this was the first ride me and my friends went on, when we got to Disneyland. I was in high school and I was a senior and it was grad night for seniors and I had blast.
stardust1298 Yeah they were good times for me. Trust me when I saw don't take what little time you have left there for granted. Appreciate all the little time you have left in high school, It'll make it more fun and memorable. I hope you have a blast there. and I hope just like mine, yours will be a night to remember.
I watched this video before since I was going to Disneyland a couple weeks later but I only watched the beginning of the video😂 I went to Disneyland yesterday and I rode this ride, I didn't know about the big drop at the end!😂 I'm scarred for life!👍🏻 I'm a big wimp when it comes to big rides, so I got dizzy and scared after riding the ride😂(and soaking wet)
I remember when my friends and I went to Disney for a school trip and we all rode this for the first time, we had to ride with an old army vet and I felt so bad he was by himself but he was so nice and we talked to him the whole time and he told us what was going to happen next on the ride so we weren't too scared.
pro tip: on this ride, bring a trash bag for your back pack to put in, a trash bag to put your legs and feet it, and a poncho, if you don't want to get wet. (usually wet socks can make you uncomfortable for the rest of your trip at disney sometimes!)
I remember when I was younger, I used to hate Grizzly Rapids and get scared of it. then our passes expired and I was so heart broken I hadn't gone on this. but now, thankfully my aunt got the job at Disneyland. I will be going soon and DEFFANITLY riding this.
This ride looks fantastic! Once you break away from other riders (for the most part), it's like you have the rapids all to yourself! Perhaps it's because you were by yourself in the raft, but it appears to be a bit rougher than you might expect. Love it!
Such a fun ride.....and beautiful....night or day! Part of the fun is sharing your raft with strangers. Because you all face each other, you more closely share your experience and reactions.......you kind of get to know each other a little. Fun stuff!
One time, me and my friends were all at my friends birthday party so we slept over night at the hotel, which meant we got early access into the park. After we rode a couple of rides with no wait what so ever, we all went on this. Nobody was in line really, because it was early, and it was freezing. We rode it 5 times in a row, and we got used to the freezing water and it was amazing. :D This ride brings back great memories for me xD
dude, subscribed. the fact that you'd be willing to ride this alone that late of day means you've got power man lol everytime i want to go on that late everyone thinks i'm crazy!
There is nothing like a relaxing river ride on the Grizzly River Run on a beautiful night at the California Adventure part and the Disneyland Resort in Anahiem in California!
this ride brings back so many happy memories. I remember right before the park closed me and my brother went on this ride and we were the only ones on. Then we got soakin wet
Both this ride and Splash mountain smell like a room in my school, and every time I go to that classroom I think, "Are we in Splash Mountain?" And I really want to go back to Disneyland so I can ride those rides again.
Ahhh thx for the video! I'm going to Disneyland and California Adventure this summer and i want to see what the ride are there! I'm so exited, but nervous cuz i am kinda a woos when it comes to water rides. I hate them cuz i hate getting wet. lol srry i talk too much! Bye :)
Love the scenery and the ride. I just wish they add some animal animatronics along the ride or give it a proper story with all the show scenes along the ride.
