my underarm tip - when caston sts for underarm - - cast on 2 LESS stitches then pattern calls for. then in the next round do m1's (one at the start of underarm and m1 at the end of underarm) to get to the correct number. The m1's instead of the extra cast ons create less slack resulting in tighter neater underarm! I do this on thumbs of mitts too.

My Grandma kept her tree decorated all year- she wrapped a sheet around it and stored it in a closed. The day after Thanksgiving she would pull it out of the closet, unwrap the sheet, plug it in and say “Done!” 😂

I’d do this if I had a spare closet. My MIL kept her flocked tree decorated and in her living room for years. Many years. When she was moving to assisted living I showed her the ornaments in case she wanted to take some with her, and she didn’t recognize them. She hadn’t really looked at her tree in a long time. I couldn’t wait to have that dusty thing out of her house - it was pretty gross. Maybe it wasn’t flocked, maybe it was just all the dust. 😂

Your sweaters are gorgeous, as always. (And I loved the sweater recap ep.) Sweater underarms can be a big challenge! I use the underarm technique from the Ranunculus pattern, now, every time. Nice and smooth, and not usually any need to dup stitch or otherwise snug stuff up.

My friend and I went to Jones Road in Montclair this past week! I told the sales lady how you all are using it and Jody's eyeshadow was amazing. And... I am knitting Christopher Bunny's sweater right now. I made Christopher Bunny already, but I over stuffed him and had to put him on a diet. Thank you so much from New Jersey! Big hug!

I was listening to “WOOL” the first book in the Silo Series and there is a description of a character casting on a sweater, and it makes me want to get a tattoo of the shape of your hand when you are casting on. My friend also has a huge twisted skein of yarn on her forearm and it is so pretty!!!

I believe it was the wanderlust knitter who has a video where she casts on half the stitches for the underarm when separating for sleeves. Then when you come to knit the underarm stitches on the next row, you use the slack to make the other half of the underarm stitches. It works and that’s how I do my sweaters now 🎉

Hi Jodi and Tracie ! Yes your "sweaters show" episode was so good ! Thank you for this! Tracie, may I sugest for the saddle shoulder sweaters the Pure Fuzz by Eli of Skeideer Knits (in 15st/4in but I made it in a finer yarn and it went very well, I just choose a bigger size)? Also If you don't know about and would like to try to try the set in sleeves topdown constructions, without picking up stitches for the sleeves, Eli has the Floof sweater. For the set in sleeves topdown construction I recommend to use the backward loop increases, it's invisible and less tight than the usual right and left increases we see often for raglans. Because in the set in sleeves construction you increase on each round, not every two rounds... I love you both and I send big hugs from France !😀

Hello. I’m thrilled that I found you two. I loved the sweaters you showed in this segment. Both sweaters are just lovely. I’m wondering what brand and colorway did you use on the Alpine Autumn sweater? I know you showed one of the labels but I didn’t quite see it nor get exactly what the color was and I could not make out who makes the black cherry. I hope you both have a very happy v& healthy New Year.

Traci, I know you're a knitting girlie and not a makeup girlie, but Jones Road is definitely not the first brand to release tinted balms. Salt New York comes to mind, but I know there are others. And I absolutely do not mean this in a mean way. It just made me laugh when you said that. 😅
