I got a lot of the same type of items at the grocery store as you did. I’ve been on a frosted mini wheat kick the last several weeks. The nurses and I weren’t talking about groceries at cardiac rehab the other day. I told them about your hauls and what a great job you do shopping and the different kinds of things you get. Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 We both buy very similar items. I guess a lot of us do. Do you have a Bulk Barn near you. They would have ground flax and chia seeds for sure. 😊 I love going to Farmer's markets at this time of year. You can get dome great deals on good produce. The apples this time of year are so delicious. I have to go shopping tomorrow. I told Elizabeth that she could come with me. She loves that. Chilli 🌶 sounds good. I'm making hamburger soup tonight but I'm adding a bit of cabbage to it. You got some good deals and 50% off items. Those salads are good. Those Millefeuilles pastries are delicious. It means 1000 leaves lol in French. I start using more flour this time of the year as I'm sure you do also. My husband already cleaned the gutters and some other yardwork. We're ready for winter. Also ready for Halloween 🎃. Elizabeth is going as the Grinch. Christopher is going as Beetlejuice. Lol. Do the kids have their costumes yet? Have a good weekend.😊
We stock up on peanut butter when on sale for 3.99. I've changed my shopping stores, I go to coop or safeway way better produce and meat. And sometimes save on foods and shoppers. Alot of loblaws stores I don't care for anymore.
Not a bad grocery haul especially considering the prices of meat lately. We have been trying to make our dollars stretch while still trying to eat healthy balanced meals. We buy a big bag of frozen chicken breasts at Costco, even with the price I find I can make the bag go quite the distance. Just yesterday I made some chicken yellow curry that I served over rice, I used two small chicken breasts that I shredded, and it made a ton, we will have enough for a few more meals. You did get some nice 50% off deals which must have made you happy, I'm sure the kids will be happy with the yogurt drinks and that's usually nice in the Fall, we are still getting some Summer like temperatures though it starts to cool down in the evenings which feels nice. We are gearing up for Halloween, we may go do a Trunk or Treat at Mackenzie's pre-school, it will be fun to decorate the trunk of our car and hand out candy to all the little kids. We've been having a warmer fall too, the evenings are cool though. I think trunk or treat must be an American thing, I've only ever heard of it on here, it sounds fun! Meat here is ridiculous. I can’t believe the prices they charge now. Great haul either way. Maybe someday meat will come down in price but I am not holding my breath :(

I feel ya about the meat. These days feels like you needs an arm and a leg to buy it. Even what used to be the cheap meat like bologna is ridiculous now. Also is it only me or does it feel like every month the youngsters got a day off for one reason or another. Have a wonderful day
