I was fired from Walmart in 1994, I was 16 and it was my first job. They forgot to take back my official WM vest though, so next time I was at a Walmart store I decided to get some mild revenge. I wore the vest and strolled around the store, making sure to tell every person who asked me for help that I didn't work there and that Walmart sucked. A petty thing to do, sure, and it generally only wound up hurting the innocent customers, but I was 16 and it felt good. What are you gonna do.

Very much enjoyed this video from 2000! It was enjoyable seeing what both the employees and customers are doing, hearing the music in the background, and still no smartphones yet in sight and as a result no one is phubbing another still. I also enjoyed recognizing the artists and their songs as well such as Mariah Carey's One Sweet Day, Bruce Hornsbys and Range Roll on, Elton John's Long Long Time, A Backstreet Boys Song, A Rod Stewart Song, etc...Pleasure to watch this. On a note: Phubbing is definition for one ignoring another for their smartphone over the person that is talking to him, her, them etc...

Watching this reminds me of my depressing days working in a grocery in my early-20s. From about 2010 to 2012, I was a cashier. Got the carts in the parking lot. Cleaned. Stocked. Some coworkers, who were mostly female, were awesome, whereas others were catty and perpetually started drama. I had to listen to the same music 6 days a week, which never left my head. I was perpetually hit on by female and male customers; couples would even attempt to sway me. Never got paid more than $7.25. Ate at the Chinese Buffet, Subway, Taco Bell, and KFC for lunch breaks. Idk why... but seeing these men attend to the aisles whilst the music is playing makes me suicidal and sad. Happy I do not have to work anymore.

Hy-Vee! I wonder if this one is near the Quad Cities? I'm from there, and it seems like they had them all over the place between the Illinois side and the Iowa side.

Yes I’m from the Quad Cities and I still work for HyVee and I started exactly in the year 2000! I work at the Silvis Illinois store/ location and I’ve been on nights for 24 years now! Stay positive.

Were most of these day-in-the-life vlogs filmed by the same person? They are distinctively angled. The cameraman or camerawoman is distinctively silent. I'm from the year 1995, so if you were in a Wal-Mart or something when I was out and about as a kid with my parents and my 2 years older brother in New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Shreveport/Bossier City,... Sup. 👋🏿😆
