I had a similar instance with my dad when I was little. I was going to sing for church ( I loved to sing) and when I got up there I burst into tears. He didn’t try to pressure me at all, and I didn’t do it. The next time I was ready to try he told me I could try with my eyes closed and that made all the difference, I sang and did fine. A good dad is a true treasure ❤️
Reminds me of my then 30+ year-old self when I wrote a poem I intended on reading in honour of my sister and her husband, years back, on THEIR wedding day. I told her I was too nervous and handed her the poem (receiving a beautiful reaction) a few days beforehand, instead. Stage fright has no age limit! 😢

This is why young girls need their fathers in their lives. Mine wasn't in my life till I was nine years old and if I would've learned something like this, I would have never wound up in a relationship that I did because it would have taught me to value men a little bit more.
