Jerome Richardson's ""Groove Merchant"" arranged by Rich Sigler is a gospel rock groove that fits perfectly. Played at 132 BPM, with straight eighths, this chart is packed with goodies like written-out solos for trombone and trumpet, lead trumpet range to written G on top of the staff, a few clever modulations, and a great development section. I prefer the Dave Barduhn arrangement personally, but there are no videos like this on it. Also for those that said they have to play the solos in the video, do you guys just not do improv? Personally I’m in middle school and we got a new teacher that doesn’t force us to improvise anymore. Surprisingly being forced to improv helps

Of course not, but this completely disrespects what it’s based off of. Sounds like the twist, instead of a jazz shuffle which is what it would teach the young ones, and what it should be.
