That's essentially it though it is possible that he set them up and never had any intention of touring with them, later denying the whole thing until many years later they found out he'd had to admit in court that he'd had a meeting at their home to arrange the tour. It left them damaged, emotionally and professionally. He's never apologised. It's also a really clever song which sounds like the story of a love betrayal but people who knew, knew!
