Great job band! I was the guitarist for the JC Jazz Band in 1974/75 (The Director Jerry Hoover days) and we played this same arrangement, (although quite a bit more up tempo). Great to hear you cats doing a great job of it.
I keep coming back to listen to this, and find it is NEITHER Groovin' OR Hard. Sounds more like a tender ballad arrangement. C'mon director, kick it up to at least where Buddy Rich did it.
-___- I think they did a great job. You have no content on your channel, and I bet you couldn't play that if you tried. But if you can, and it's easy for you, feel free to post it, and let the world know. Be sure to tell me if you can.
I disagree with both of you. This is a very good arrangement in my opinion( I'm actually playing it in my school jazz band), but they did a HORRIBLE job playing it. I couldn't hear the piano, they sound so out of tune, and they all played completely incorrect notes several times. It sounds like they tried to rearrange the song. This is a much better recording: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5L93I4bEBh0.html
