Grossinger's Catskill Resort - Abandoned, and now demolished.

Exploring one of the biggest abandoned resorts in the Catskill region of New York, which has been closed since 1986. In its time it was said to have drawn in 150,000 people per year. This now decrepit compound was once a state of the art tourist destination which had been the first in U.S. history to offer artificial snow.
By the time you watch this video the resort will have been completely demolished. This location will always be special to me because it was my first abandoned adventure, and is the reason why I continue to explore and make videos.

During the early 1960s, when this place was still hugely popular, the radio ads always concluded by Jenny Grossinger herself saying "Hearty Appetite."

Beautiful video and great choice of music. Sad, thoughtful. Those beautiful big swimming pools! People must have had such fun at this resort back in the day! Nothing lasts forever, I guess.

Sad...I would have hoped someone saved those glued laminated wood beams located in the pool areas and utilized their beauty somewhere else.

Demolition started the year that the hotel closed and the hotel was decaying to the point where it was beyond repairable

It was abandoned and it was too expensive to restore aswell some of the buildings in grossingers were in so bad condition they couldn't be restored they had to get demolished sad i know

41.7900, -74.7279 here are the coordinates, but you need a time machine to get there, since its been completely demolished.

It breaks my heart that this happened. The historic ruins of Grossinger’s were an inspiration. I agree that the demolition was a crime of huge proportions.

@@haroldlieberman3314 harold how are you....we have to talk on phone ....this is a crime scene grossingers and all these wonderful places....world is a crime scene right now with fake plan demic....i was in jenny o building few months before they tore it down,,,,walked by pool and said ill come back with someone to go inside,,,,,2 months latter it was all gone,,,,,what was accompliched by taking it all down,,,,,disgusting
