@@saminabibi2015 You too, love. They really DID feel like family and 'the good old days' were days of innocent childhood memories....Don't EVER forget them! ❤👍👍👍👍
I actually made Carol's outfit so it's lovely to see it after all these years. I remember it like it was yesterday - Carol's agent phoned me up and asked if I could urgently whip up something brightly coloured with "I'm a forgotten woman" embroidered on it. Well I'd literally just finished a jumpsuit for Bella Emberg (some sort of skydiving sketch on Russ Abbot's Madhouse) so I said "No problem". 30 minutes later and it was being cabbed up to the ATV studios in Birmingham. Of course, Bella was furious!
brilliant story ... thanks for sharing it! Bet you have lots more fun tales of those years ~ v sad today that Carol's died ~ bit of my childhood memories ~ :(
Saw her live in the Hammersmith Apollo in the 80’s in the Emu live show, she had some serious lungs on her, powerful voice singing ‘walk that dog’, RIP CAROL, from the best TV era ever !!
You should see the one with Gary Wilmot. He pulled a marvellous con on Tony, had me in stitches. Whipped out a sneaky fourth dart. The innocent way he tried to get away with it was absolute gold.
@@97channel I just literally watched that a moment ago and that was really hilarious the way he whipped the dart out and threw it at the dartboard whilst Tony was counting up the score!
Her face when Jim tells Carole that all shes known for by younger viewers as Grotbags is priceless! Shes thinking "oh god I knew he was mention me being Grotbags "
As a kid watching this I thought 'what! grotbags has dyed her hair'......I mean, as if she is going to come out with green hair....The naivety of it all.
Jim Bowen died on the same day as Prof. Stephen Hawking. Did Hawking ever pay out cash prizes from his suit pocket? No he didn't! Did Hawking ever give away fabulous prizes in the form of caravans, cars or speedboats? No he didn't! Did Hawking ever coin any snappy punchlines or phrases? No he didn't! So, which was the greatest loss to humanity and/or British light entertainment?
@Tyreek Johnson and quite possibly Hawking too. It’s just the date coincidence that stands out abs that the system champions these 2 characters as being the most famous intelligent people.
