He didn't even fake the dive where the penalty came from. He dived another time but nothing happened then. He should already have had a penalty another time. So the Dutch won just fair

@mexicanmanstevo He didnt three himself the time the penalty was granted. But he admitted doing so earlier in the game but the ref saw that. Nothing was lost/gained. And dont forget the clear violation in the first half. That deserved a penalty.

so was the penalty of spain.. and still, it would end up in a extended game then.. and the dutch where ruling the match in the end anyways. it would only ended up with 2 - 1 or even more if there was no penalty. also, it was a stupid action of the defender, doing the same move 2 times takes a lot of risks, these where the facts. Who can be proud of such a mediocre game for the Netherlands that they needed Robben to dive? Robben should have gotten a red card for his SECOND dive and then there was no way they could win. FIFA is a mafia and they don't incorporate instant reply in such penalties because otherwise they wouldn't be able to control the game through the referee. Shame on Robben, but mainly shame on FIFA.

Many people (mexicans) forget that it was already 1-1 and Mexico was playing like shit in the second half, did not create any chances and probably would have lost anyway in additional time. You can argue if it was a penalty or not, and Robben got down with some theatre, however it was dumb defending of Mexico. The defending mexican did hit Robben and got nowhere near the ball. You can only blame yourselves, not FIFA or Robben. Any mexican player would have done the same as Robben. You cannot argue against that. It is not a stolen game, the Netherlands were just better in the end, and had a tiny bit more luck.

In that case I could say that in an imaginary scenario where professional players really play fair and do not try to deceive the referee, 1-1 would have been the score until penalties where it is less probable for the Netherlands to have won; but ok, all that is imaginary. What is not imaginary is that the penalty was a hoax and Robben was not admonished a posteriori as it happened with Luis Suarez with his bite. But again, I will ask, how is it possible that there is enough technology to track the ball on the goalline but not to have a simple quick replay on doubtful penalties?
