Off-the-ground cast filmed from the front and in slow motion. This represents an evolution in my technique where I am very intentionally preventing the punch-pull motion from beginning until my left hand has passed in front of my face... also keeping my right hand lower for longer so I am casting "up" rather than doing a downward chop.
Update: U.S. casting champion Tommy Farmer offered that one improvement to this cast is to rotate the hips first and let the arms follow, instead of what you see here: arms leading the body rotation of the cast. Rotation should start from the ground up.
