@Leo Noboa Okay, so...several things to unpack here. I think the biggest difference is the frame of the new deck is made from 2x6's instead of 2x4's. I think if you have the space and can afford to do so, this is the way to go for sure. I've never walked on a more solid deck that I am aware of, even one that I've built myself. This thing is ess oh ell eye dee *SOLID*. I too appreciate the natural look of the wood as opposed to the paint. As I mentioned in the video, make sure to stick to a deck sealer instead of any kind of paint. I've made plenty of mistakes in all of the things I've built and I'm glad to share with everyone so that we can all be better builders. I'm glad I seem to encourage and inspire new and existing builders and creators...this is super cool. Corded/Cordless: I'd say absolutely yes, you can notice a difference in the power. As with most things in life, there are ups and downs to owning/operating both kinds of tools. Obviously with the corded, you have to deal with the cord, but you've got unlimited power so you can build the whole house today if you are so inclined. Corded tools are generally speaking going to be heavier and more expensive but a whole lot more legit and official. This isn't at all to say that the cordless ones are inferior in any way. I mean, one could argue that they are, but again, they have their benefits too. With the battery tools, you can build the house *anywhere* you want to...like...off grid type of stuff if that's what your goal was. The cordless are a whole lot more lightweight and less expensive. In today's world, most cordless tool manufacturers have moved to include dozens of different tools that work using those batteries. It's gonna cost you a fortune, but if you have enough batteries, you could do a whole lot of things in life with the lineup of cordless options that there are by now. I'd recommend sticking to one brand if possible though. Do your research before you dive in and spend the money to get you a set. Each manufacturer has a different battery connection so you can't use the Ryobi battery with the Makita tool. I hope I included everything in there. @@CurtisMadeIt YW… I appreciate you replying. I know it is difficult to get to everyone. I your floating frame is how I found you. I was just going to use that to make a deck. I originally wanted to do a pallet deck and use plywood to top it instead of slats. I gave my neighbor the idea and she made a small one around her tree. But quality used pallets are hard to come by and if I have to buy them, I just may do it from scratch it it’s the same in coast. I want two 10x10 decks in different locations. I need them portable if I want to put them together, I can move them with a lil help. I’m just conflicted on what sz pallets work best.. if you have time, What to you think Or have you even built a super simple one? Pallets or otherwise?

@Ladi London Hey Ladi, okay, so…a lot to unpack here: I’m glad to help and eventually get back to everyone that takes the time to send me a message or leave me a comment here or on Instagram realc_love1. It’s very much worth it for both of us. The floating bed frame and a deck build are somewhat similar, yes, but I couldn’t possibly imagine ever trying to build a deck out of pallet wood. You are going to be extraordinarily limited by the size and quality of pallet wood you are able to get your hands on. These pallets likely won’t be free and you are still gonna have loads of labor breaking them apart. Plywood for the deck of a frame is a no no. That just ain’t gonna work, I promise you that…it won’t last long anyways. Two 10x10 decks in separate locations is alright, able to be portable is going to be quite another story…’some’ help better be at least 7 people ready to help you move that thing…it’s gonna weigh a ton! Your best bet is to go to the big orange home improvement store and use treated lumber for your new investment. This will best insure your time, effort, energy, and resources will last the longest and look the best. Are you in the USA…? I hope this info helps. Any other questions at all? Talk soon

@Guy Smiley Hey Guy, thanks for your question and I very much appreciate your compliments, thank you 🤝. About the deck extending to the sidewalk…this was the homeowners request. I think previously, they had walkway lights and little metal garden ornament spinner things in there. Additionally, that sidewalk slopes down towards the street so if the deck went all the way to the sidewalk, it may look kinda goofy tbh. …sidewalk even with the surface of the deck at the landing close to the house, but on the other side closer to the street, you would the whole face of the side of the deck…would create a tripping hazard. This is just me thinking out loud now, I didn’t ask homeowner this question. Thanks for your time and support my friend, I mean it. This was a great question!

@israelholi7597 Hey Israel, either way is fine, the bricks are to help it sit level. Pressure treated/ground contact lumber should give you at least 10 years before it needs to be replaced, depending on how much moisture the deck you are building is subject to. I hope this helps. @justindickinson912 True, thanks for pointing this out. I really just wanted to be able to sit down in that corner and make sure I was good...you can do this the way I showed in the video. I wasn't really trying to walk through fifty joists to try and measure and do all that...seems like a ton of effort trying to stretch the tape measure nine hundred feet and holding it steady. People who don't know our guy Pythagorus may like some of his ways...just trying to education, inspire, motivate, and encourage here. We'll all get there one way or another.

@sheilahorsted6470 Hey Miss Sheila, this reply was copied from your other comment. Thanks for stopping by. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend measurements for a twin size at this time. That mattress is too long and too narrow to be able to conceal the base under the frame like I can on the full/queen/king/Cali king size bed frames. It wouldn’t be stable enough and likely would tip from side to side…definitely a safety hazard. My many apologies. Is there any other way I can help?
