Larry please don't stop featuring these kinds of amazing sort of out of left field builds. The level of craftsmanship and ingenuity on this 280 is just amazing and I like you could probably just spend hours looking at all the neat things done here, just so great to see, thank you Larry for featuring this.

Not a fan of the... "body kit" but it's not my car. The front looks so weird. The man clearly is passionate and I applaud him for doing something out of the norm. More power to him!

I don't usually care for the "widebody" style. But this guy did it right. The front end not my favorite either, (I prefer a nice grill), but overall the car is a work of art.

Best build You shot this Year Larry! This tickles my senses ❤ The attention to detail and originality is crazy high on that one. Gloss black hood with those grinded flames is something I’ve never seen before and is one of the best features of the car, but there are so many others… Kudos to the builder 🤝

That metal door pillar is from a 79-81 280ZX. The 82-83 280ZX door pillars were made of black plastic. I say this as I have (2) 83 280ZX Turbos. Very cool build.

I was all about air-cooled VWs in the late 80's, graduated to water-cooled. I'd worked primarily on Euro cars (Volvo, BMW/MINI, VAG products, etc). I passively admired Japanese cars but wasn't into them and hadn't worked on too many until 2015 on. That's when I started to appreciate them, admire them and now own 3 Lexus', a Subaru and a 4Runner. It's like I've renewed my passion by getting into Japanese cars similar to how this dad has done.

Love it 👌👌 the front bumper would be even cooler with a little more cut outs to match the theme,millenium jade would be a great colour in contrast with his amazing metal work. But nonetheless amazing build 💪💪

Your comments about the tail light panel cracked me up because literally yesterday I pulled the tail lights off my S130 to start working on customs, but I was not prepared for how complex the shape was 😂 I, too, thought it was flat despite owning the car for about 10 years now

Kinda makes me wish i never sold my 280zx in 2012 i got a S14 later sold that car and got another S14 and still own it! i have a 1975 280z now used to own a 240z before the 75'. 240z prices are ridiculous now days! I would fall back on a 280zx any day if times got tough! This build is great and i live in Idaho and this hit's close to home!

I've owned (2) 280zx cars..and I don't miss owning a 240z..The price was better and If you wanted the 240z side drafts or whatever swap goes in them..The 280zx could take them as well..All the suspension is the same.. so your not loosing anything..Love the car..👍🏽🏁

Super cool,u should check the SA home built one here through speed and sound. 1 day you need to fly down and start doing south africa and the turbo champ push rod motors and then work your way up. Zociety sticker on that tank and it's perfect 😎✅👌 official sticker in aluminum

Have a weird feeling these are also about to start going up in price. I love mine but holy shit it sucks to see 240z selling for $8,000 for a rusty shitbox with no drivetrain. 280zx is next. They've already gone up a lot.
