What a surprise. Time flies so fast. Congratulations on almost complete Skyway Stage 3! The initial opening last Dec 29, 2020 is truly successful! Nice welcome for the year 2021.

Skyway Stage 3 is Soft Opened on December 29, 2020, Full Opening would be on January 14, 2021 and Full Opening of Skyway Stage 3 With All Ramps Except Proposed Ones Will be on March or April 2021

It really takes time from official planning and official feasibility studies. PINAKAMAHIRAP ang MAGHANAP NG PERANG IPAPATAYO or gagastusin sa projects. Sa buong project, kapag may pera (loan or budget) na at Right-Of-Way (ROW) acquisition, ang pinakamadaling gawin ay ang actual construction. (NAGLALAWAY or NAG-AAGAWAN ang mga BIG-TIME CONTRACTOR kapag SOLID na ang BUDGET at tapos na ang OFFICIAL FEASIBILTY STUDIES). It usually start at official feasibility studies with official government funding. Then the hard negotiation for FUND solicitation thru loans. Then 5 to 6 presidents after them will be paying the LONG-TERM (compound) INTEREST RATE. LIke for example, many BBB projects were actually from up to two presidents before. Some official feasibility studies started in 1999. SKYWAY-Stage-1 was started in 1995 (finished 1999). The DPWH should take advantage of the lockdown during the pandemic and the free use of the Skyway 3 to rehabilitate EDSA.

the government should be strict and stable when it comes to deadlines. Project like this creates congestion in major roads, therefore the longer they construct these roads, the greater the economic loss of metro manila would be. Sayang ang pera pag madaming nasasayang na oras.

36 months pala ang target completion nito, pero na delay ng 36 months din, pero atleast sa ngayun tapos na at finishing touches na lang.

Glad this aged well.
