Groundbreaking Ceremony for Bluff Park Village Redevelopment Site 

This morning, dozens gathered for the groundbreaking ceremony at the Bluff Park Village Redevelopment site.
Joining Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato and the Hoover City Council were Bluff Park Village owner, Ken Harden; Piggly Wiggly owner, Naseem Ajlouny; and Mills Pharmacies owner, Beetina Long.
The project will redevelop one of Bluff Park’s most popular commercial areas. Part of the project includes revitalizing the existing Bluff Park Village Shopping Center in an effort to preserve current tenants and attract new, unique tenants. Harden will remodel the exterior of his shopping center and add community amenities such as interconnecting sidewalks to allow walkability from residential areas. He also proposes to add a community gathering green space to the property.
The other half of the proposal involves the relocation and building of a new Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store as part of the aforementioned Bluff Park Village Shopping Center. Not only would the store move, but it would be expanded. The new location would have amenities and an interior design consistent with one of Ajlouny’s newest stores, the Dunnavant Valley Piggly Wiggl located in Mt. Laurel.
