Nice to see the mellow side of Jocko. He seems like he can break balls with the best of them. Poor Echo is constantly being set up for his next jab. Lmao.
Thank you Echo for saying "that's me every single day". Makes me feel better. It's very hard as a brown belt woman. I have a target on my back and everyone is bigger and stronger.
Training BJJ began to actually change the way I move entirely, not just how I move on the mat. I began to visualize movment more clearly and I developed instincts I didn't think I could have. Don't underestimate BJJ, it's a mind changer.
I freaking love that Jocko holds the knife while talking, nobody seems to notice but it makes me feel far less psychotic for doing so myself occasionally! Thanks Jocko, you're making the world a better place one intimidating habit at a time!
Have been listening to your podcast for a few months now. You, your team an guests have me seriously considering the path my life is headed to. Makes me feel I should take that next step to join those who risk it all so our friends an family can continue living in security. Not only that but the more selfish side of learning the skills and building the will to better myself in order to help those around me.
I look at jocko and I say to myself that's how I want to be in my 40. Watched him so much and still do to a point he became a someone I look up too and it's amazing we are vlessed to have such a guy in our time.
"Its better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war" Its best to just be a gardener in a garden! Cause then you know what you're doing.. you can just do your job.. nobody's missing any limbs.. nobody has PTSD..
PTSD does not only happen to soldiers. Everyday people in society get it as well due to all sorts of circumstances. Part of the “warrior in a garden” saying is addressing the fact that it helps you prepare for the worst case scenario that you hope doesn’t happen to you. You may be a gardener in a garden but if war enters your garden then what?
@@ericshipp51 Some people live in a delusional state inside the safety of the walls with no appreciation for the warriors who guard the walls and provide the safety they enjoy.
Echo should learn to be a part of the conversation, and not interject himself. Dave got drowned out, Dave was supposed to be the guest speaker. The podcast got awkward at times, due to Echos interruptions. #JustSaying
