How Much Did James Spend On His Celica GT-Four?! - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m6l38UKcs-Y.html More JayEmm & Friends Vlogs: ru-vid.com/group/PLNVfZAbP7rRlQTGyB24U0osi9XOCeMkql
Someone needs to get Mike Endean on Endean was the guy Murray Walker referred to as Mr X due to developing Martin Schanches 4WD system fitted to his MK3 Escort from his garden shed whilst a Hewland Employee. Schanche beat the mighty German Quattros with a car built in England with a British Engine built by a German F1 team. You just can’t make stuff up like this
I only recently discovered this spin off channel, even though I've been a fan of James's main channel for quite some time. I applaud you James. I know you refer to yourself as a tart but I really like your way of staying in the background so much!
The UK is so lucky to still have so many great racetracks left and a strong car culture to support them. Here in Au we're sadly going the opposite way.
Yeh i have noticed that, am in middle east and as I follow so much car enthusiasts contents in RU-vid, surprisingly many many of them are based In UK, they have whole lot of events. Hopefully the woke politicians who brag about environment nonsense wont stand against UK car culture
@@mohnnadmercedes8246 noise injunctions are the biggest threat in recent years to race tracks. Pathetic people buy a house next to a race track at a discount price because of the noise, then petition to have it restricted due to a noise nuisance. Too often they win as the law here doesnt allow the fact the track was here first count. Its either a nuisance or its not so often restrictions get put in place.
The madness of rallying in one video Wait is that a lada rally car because that is one of the craziest rally cars period. Not because of it’s performance but because it exists
I have a photo next to that red RS200 from when I was as a little kid at Oulton Park. I’ll be 40 soon, what a treat to see it again. Great video, all the RS action I could want.
I was there. I've never been to liden Hill before what a great track, weather for time of year was perfect blue sky, great food. All those group b cars in one place. OK I got a free invite but still a great day out, many thanks.
Great video, thanks both. Yes, Ant, great editing, let's not forget, including the sound! James, I've said it before and I'll say it again, you really should be on "proper" TV, you'd be perfect to present something like 5th Gear.
Thank you! I've been developing a JayEmm & Friends vlog style, using 80s/90s synth pop inspired music... Kinda felt like a meeting in the middle of our ages and personalities. I've a few ideas on how to evolve that over time. -Ant
Love a Group B. 205 T16 is my favourite. My Dad went straight out and bought a brand new GRD 1.8 diesel to coincide with his DD ban finishing after seeing one on TV. That was the 80s!
A fantastic episode guys, leaps and bounds for sure!!!! I say episode because all that seemed to be missing was a hot lap, a reasonably priced car and celeb sitting on a sofa!! fantastic work guys.
Throughly enjoyed that gents, James it was a Car magazine article on the 288 GTO that got me into cars so I’m with you on that one. Well put together vlog Antony (sp?) and your input adds great value to James’s knowledge. Cheers, Kevin.
You know, RS200 is another car Gordon Murray wants to take some credit of. The documents will tell that the car was designed by Tony Southgate, John Wheeler and stylistically Philippo Sapino. Gordon Murray tells he actually did the spec of the car. It was a good car for rally cross but never really made in the WC rallies. It had a very pragmatic suspension with doubled dampers but it was right from the beginning thought to be too low for a rally car. The CoG of a rally car must not be too low because controlling weight transfer is essential in throwing the car. Also the powerline was considered too complex by many “experts” - like me :)))))
As a former owner of a 1988 GT4 (called the All-trac turbo here in the states) I would love to attend such an event. Sadly once you tack on air travel, accommodations etc. it's just too far out of my budget.
Aww no Quattro's or Peugeot's, great memories of them early to mid 80's thundering through Dalby forest North Yorkshire, but still an excellent video 👍
Can you elaborate? Was it that it wasn't entertaining? Or not informative? Or the information unclear? Or the point of the event not resonating? All feedback helps. -Ant
Fab video! I have some lovely early memories of going to Lydden as a small boy with my Dad. Quite often for Rallycross which at the time had a good representation of ex group B in it. Often Metro 6R4s but I do remember the odd RS200. Thanks for bringing back the memories! (Food seems a lot better now)!
Now this was epic, entertaining, fun and exciting!! Thanks Jay and friends!!! Who would known places/races like this even exist (and I'm a kiwi in kiwiland)? Anyway, the whole production was...brilliant!!
Really loving the new channel. I think you are adding some great content here that really supplements your main channel. Thanks for keeping us car folk thoroughly entertained.
Nobody knows why Mitsubishi called their car the "Wanker". Apparently it's also the name of a cat, so I guess... Ford Cougar? Well done everybody in marketing.
