Group Dynamics - The Blue Rider: Colonialism 

"The whole body of work we call art knows neither borders nor nations but only humanity": that is how Kandinsky and Marc put it in their almanac The Blue Rider, which came out in 1912. This credo inspired us to the exhibition "Group Dynamics - The Blue Rider" and shows how present European colonialism was for artists.
But what did this period mean for them, when Germany was also operating in a colonial context? And what does it mean for us and our society today to exhibit and view works that were created during this time? Find out more in our new video!
