Yes there is the Second Amendment and yes people have the right to protect themselves. But the laws are insufficient because people are stupid and go around shooting kids in schools, in supermarkets, gang fights, drive bys every single day in the United States. There are countries like Switzerland who have an excellent gun law and they take their guns very seriously. You see people in banks that carry guns. They have background checks and they have to go to yearly gun safety classes and they even have a target shooting competition where kids even participate. Also parents are responsible if kids have access to unsecured arms.. There are no mass shootings and the only crazy guy who shot a few people was in 2001. Why do you think it is so bad to have gun regulations? What's your point?
The Republicans didn't think the election was going to turn out this way. Now that the Republicans have inflicted a train wreck of a presidency on America, the Republicans have lost all legitimacy and credibility. I sure did see what happened in DC. A woman tried to break into a restricted area with a violent mob despite seeing a gun pointed in their direction. She was naturally shot in self defense. It’s sad that she died but there was no other way that could have ended for her.
