Your videos are the most helpful!! I'm in the U.S. (Washington State) and direct sowed Orlaya about a month ago. I will do your method as a backup as well! Love the step by step videos and seeing them in bloom. 🌼
Thank you for showing us how the plants progress. I’m a new subscriber. Since I’m watching this long after you’ve posted, it would be very helpful if you could include the dates and your zone.
If you visit my website you'll find all the information you need on all the plants and flowers we grow plus extra's on soil, a grow-a-long diary with dates, harvesting and arranging flowers - here is a quick link zoewoodwardgardening.com/
Hi Zoe you have been great at sharing your wealth of experience and your Spring and Autumn jump starts are great. I have had trouble with Ami, Daucus, Chervil and to some extend Orlaya are they all carrot family? I am thinking that it might be carrot root fly attack as seedling were healthy but by ones and twos are going purple leaved and dying. Any ideas?
Hi Ginny It's more than likely 'root rock' it's be very windy of late and if plants are not properly staked they can loosen the tap root from their anchoring and the first you realise the plants are inexplicably dying. I have a video on the subject which I'll link below, fast forward to minute 6 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3PrLCRRAzOc.html
I’d forgotten this seed on my summer seed order. Now that it’s in hand, what are my chances of starting some indoors. Lisianthus, snaps and sweet peas are going well. 🤷🏼♀️ I’d love to get started with them.
Disaster! Something has bloody munched half my seedlings! Didn't even eat them! Just mowed the tops off them all...😭 Went to sow more seeds and none left...😭 Oh well, I'll have to make do with what I've got left. If they survive.
