Thank you for sharing ! I noticed 2 more things this year. Contrary to what I hear, my dahlias do have a very long vase life (over 3 weeks) because they make roots easily when put in water (which seems logical for plants of which you can take cuttings) especially the side shoots (like tomato plants). Hence, I suppose that we can easily take numerous cuttings any time during the growing season. I got some in September and the main problem will be to keep them alive until next spring …
