Did you know you can grow fennel simply from the base. Morag Gamble (moraggamble & permacultureeducationinstitute) and her super assistant, Monty show you how.
Morag is sharing a series of simple ways to grow food from offcuts in this special time when it's often challenging to find seeds and seedlings.
What are your favourite ways to use fennel? What's your favourite recipe?
Feel free to share this, and all my youtube clips.
For more information about how to set up a permaculture garden, Morag has curated a selection of her youtube clips and helpful blogs here: ourpermaculturelife/resiliencecare
You can also watch Morag's new 4 part permaculture series here bit.ly/OPL4partseries . She talks about what is permaculture & how to weave it into your life and livelihood too.
Stay safe and well, and see you again in Morag's permaculture home & garden.

Thank you from San Antonio Texas. Very interesting to learn how to keep fennel growing. I love fennel but my local grocery store does not carry fresh fennel. Once quarantine lifts I will drive to store where I can find fresh fennel.

Hi, question: Once the the fennel starts growing roots, is that when I should plant it into soil? And keep the soil fairly moist?

I love fennel, but am cautious because of it's oestrogenic effects. High consumption is said to lead to breast growth in some teenage boys, noticed in Italy.
