March is prime time for planting heat-loving greens! Asian varieties like tatsoi and bok choy thrive in warmer temps, making them perfect for your spring garden.
For a tropical twist, consider adding molokhia, New Zealand spinach, longevity spinach, or Okinawan spinach to the mix. Personally, I'm all about tatsoi - a near-perfect substitute for spinach in hot climates like Florida. Simply sprinkle seeds in any bare spots of your garden and watch as they fill in the space, blocking out pesky weeds along the way.

Yup! Its a very very small window. If I dont sow seeds in December so they grow in January and February, its too late. Grow tatsoi instead :)

I was able to grow spinach in grow bags in winter, the grow bags can be moved into a semi shady spot. They do take longer to grow than say lettuce though.

If you're already growing Okrah the leaves are an edible green. There are some varieties grown just for the leaf greens.
