Sir one more confusion if the sample obtained on 4 th postnatal day is of venous origin not a capillary one then do we need to change the cutoff of 40mU/L
Hello Doctor. My son's Tsh has shown a rollercoaster. Newborn screening it was 14 On 15 days age it went to 9 On one month it went to 12 And one month 10 days age it went to 7 T3 and T4 has been in normal range throughout. Our endocrinologist suggest to start medicine right away as he says after 6 weeks age we should not wait.We stay in Dubai. Whereas our pediatric suggest us to wait and try another blood draw after 15days. Our endo is saying it's crucial days and we can't wait more. I am super confused. Is there a 6 week window? Please pour your views.
Sir these cut off values are serum equivalents or per unit of blood ?? AAP says all results of DBS are serum equivalents but Eupropean society states them per unit of blood. Please clear this confusion . Thanks
