Did you find the pattern sizing for the pants to true to size? I made the pants for 6 to 12 months and the waist is too small. The instructions say for 19" waist but I found it is 14" after sewing.
Oh wow. I used the measurements for my kids and just made that size. My kids tend to be on the smaller side of all patterns so they end up measuring up to 2 sizes smaller than their age. Lol! I don't sew the seam allowances that patterns call for though. I always use the side of my presser foot against the side of the seam. It's always worked for me, so I don't see the need to change that. The sizing difference that you mentioned seems a bit extreme though. Is there any way that you had the measurement of your baby incorrect?
