What do I think? I think with little of time and effort one can get these lights you offer for 1/2 the price direct from the manufacturer .... yeah yeah warranty... Buy a 2nd whole light as a spare and still be up on cost. Too bad people feel the need to double or triple the cost for the sake of it already being on this side of the world for shipping and a rebrand. Very few lights made in North America. Even then chips and drivers all from over seas anyhow.

This is my flower light so I wouldn’t know bro but from what I’ve read in the owners manual says we can hang it at 6 in at all times just has to have proper air flow between the canopy and light!

@@j-alexandermangonon9525 i run these lights threw my entire grow. i kept my lights hung about a foot from my tent ceilings and run them at 25% the first couple weeks of veg then 50% at the end. i i get around a hp off each plant. 3 under each light.

I run mine 30 inches all the way thru veg at 75% then kick it up to 100 % for flower but honestly unless ur gassing ur space u could stay at 75% this light delivers enormous ppf. Anything under 20 inches and I have gotten some bleaching on buds

Unfortunately it isn't a functional option at the moment. I heard that they plan on adding it to future fixtures but don't quote me on that. Besides this thing cranks out nearly 800w of power so there's no need for a boost mode. It'll just add to the light bill...

You can do this with a lot of other badass functions with the master controller.

Yes the 680 and 720 both fit

it fit in my 4x4 but barley. When the fans kicked on I was nervous it would rip my tent because of how huge it was and it would stick out

I don’t doubt that they’re excellent lights and they do great things I’m just a little concerned on the longevity of these things that we use them all year long to me it sounds like two years of consecutive use do you have something that is diminished that you cannot replace whereas high-pressure sodium all you’re doing is replacing a bulb at $54 each every year and it seems like to get good yields out of the LED you have limited time of three years before it’s down to say 70% and then it’s not optimal to use anymore

I know everybody is always trying to find the best light but it's like a car they're all really good you just have to make sure you're getting a good quality light. For your money I would go with the Growers Choice you get the same spectrum same diodes and as far as the master controller the growers choice blows the Gavita out of the water the gravitas some old school dos looking thing while the growers choice gives you so many options and it's touch screen and I'm pretty sure it's a lot cheaper.

50k hours is most lights full warranty life so he probably means 5400.

If my math isnt off tho 5400 hours is still 225 full days which is a year and a bit almost on a proper grow schedule before they would dim 10%.

It's 54 000 offcourse, some LED's nowadays even go way longer for example Optic's Slim -series run for100 000 hours. That's like almost 2 decades of growing nonstop and that's fucking insane ROI on these things! Welcome to 2020, the HID has left the building... Peace & GL

@@ganjah-far-i7124 The 54000 hours is a measure of how long a typical diode will last before it "burns out". The 5400 hours is a measure of decreasing efficiency in the diode. So RealReality East is correct. On a 12 hour light cycle, you'd get about 450 days out of this light before it decreases in intensity by 10%. Which sucks. You have to replace the light every year and a bit, or deal with a 10% decrease in your yield.

You can use it for veg. Start at lower settings when they are seedlings and increase the light output higher as your plants get bigger. You should be at 70-100% strength as you begin flowering depending on plant size.

Thats what full spectrum means. You can veg and flower under them aka from seed to harvest.

@Your Local Grower don't speak upon things you have no clue about! There is a large difference between the old school B chip in the new H chip! Let's break this down for you Jr.! Lm301H has higher PPF and an anti sulfurization layer making it a horticultural application chip. Lm301b has been documented and proven via several test results to be obsolete and outdated! @@BlueThor1 I read that they are the same but they're meant to be wired differently and that's why the h is more efficient for certain lights. I don't believe it's a better quality of light you're going to get out of b versus h I think it's more about efficiency and power that you can save on h versus b....from what I read. Lights that usually have the h have a better efficiency output for example the optic slim uses h and its efficiency is 3.0

Surprisingly it puts out a good amount of heat, not as much as most light. On my other lights with drivers I can cool them down but because the growets choice doesn't have a driver and said the whole bar gets hot and there's no way to cool it down.

Realy, I had to add a heater to my tent in the basement just to keep it up to 75. Wish it gave me some heat

Joshua McGuire because par is less important than ppfd. I have a 680 and 720 I bought when my Fluence went bad. I’ve had 3 out of 5 Fluence fail due to driver issues. So I had to do something while I wait for replacement. I have photos. They’re doing as well, or better.
