Oh wow. You might be able to keep it alive through the winter if you cover it and plant it near the house or somewhere it's protected.

Also, Lavender is in caplet and tincture oils, clinical studies have been done for their stress/anxiety properties. A friends Dr. has recommended it and to ease off prescription meds. I use, it too..

I don't cover it actually. it's up against the house on the south side, so it's pretty well sheltered.

We're in zone 5 and our lavender comes back each spring.

How far apart should I plant hidcote

Hi J K. We plant it about 2 1/2 feet apart in hills for good drainage. Sorry we just saw this comment! Let us know if you have more questions - Doug and Peggy.

I'm in zone 5. I don't even cover mine and it comes back each spring. I think you would be better off covering yours though to be sure it gets through.
