Hi Nice Video. I tried many different ways and failed many times. What worked for my fig trees didn’t work for mangoes. The only way I can get mangoes to root was scratching bark off shoot, rooting hormone & soil bagged right on the tree, then cut base after 2 months and plant. I’m going to try your method. Folks in my area have many different types of mangoes trees and I would like to get some cuttings. I’m going to try your method. Thx u, keep us updated.

Hope you get good results this time. I watched your previous video before when you tried to grow from a cutting. I'll try growing from a Mango cutting one of these days. Great content as always, I learn a lot from your videos. I tried my first attempt at grafting a few days ago on our seed grown Avocado tree. Keep it up brother!

Thanks for the content , hopefully you will have a successful trial . Im doing the same experiment. I did a cuttings and used rooting hormone but i kept 2 leaves at the end cut it into 1/4 of its length. No grafting tape but placed them into clear box and sealed it with no watering. I kept it under the tree with no direct sunlight. 3 weeks now and i can see new shoots coming out. I will check on the roots after it completes 6-8 weeks. Ambient temperature is 24 C and as low as 14 during the night.

I stuck several cuttings in a small piece of banana and another several in a piece of aloe and covered it with your paver sand soil mix. We don't have crushed granite in Hawaii. I covered the pot with a plastic mushroom bag and tied it with a string. I also bought some planter trays to wick up transplant solution every so often. I feel more confident with the aloe than the banana. This is my last all out attempt. Everything is brand new, so I don't have to worry about plant disease or insects and I sprayed the cuttings with a fungicide. In addition, the cutting knife was sprayed with alcohol after each use and wiped dry. I have them in a room that gets morning sun. I'll let you know if this works or you can do another video experiment with banana and aloe. The varieties I am using are Fruit Punch, Orange Sherbet and Carrie. We still don't know if these transplants will fruit. I have seen other videos that got the mango cutting to root, but no one has ever shown it fruiting.

When should it be transferred to a bigger pot? After how many days? Mine mango cutting is 14 days old and leaves already appeared.

Instead of wrapping the cutting with parafilm, have you tried just covering the whole thing including the container with a plastic bag, like a mini greenhouse?

I'm going to try it like this for my coconut cream and alphonso mango trees.

Have you tried using 50/50 ready made potting mix and sand? I am doing an experiment with the Kellog brand potting mix and paver sand. The mix looks fluffier than just peat and sand. I am only using it to re-pot established trees.

I keep trying but didn't work for me, I am again trying indoor with no direct sunlight but worried about the temperature though my 2nd kitchen has AC I never turn it on so these cuttings could be cooked, I don't know what kind of temperature yours are in, here it's 105 today outdoor but the kitchen is like 90

You did,t mention any season,temprature or time ,more helpful for propogation.
