His plants look like they were started from large cuttings instead of seedlings. I think plants from cuttings often fruit earlier. Still skeptical of how fast they fruited, but it's something to keep in mind.
@@memph7610 I bought mine in a nursery that was high about 20 cm with 3-4 true leaves maximun, about 2 months ago and its already starting to flower, I think it depends on when you transplant, these can grow super fast in proper conditions
@@giacets7731 Interesting. I've had rooted cuttings from passiflora caerulea flower quite fast (about 3 months after transplanting a 20cm plant), whereas passiflora caerulea seedlings barely flowered at all after 4 months. My passiflora edulis were from seed, but I've since taken cuttings, so maybe the cuttings will bloom faster for edulis too.
I have a 5 gal water bottle, I plan to use to do this and an old yard umbrella (material stripped off so only bare metal) to use as a trellis for the vine to run up onto and out...should make a nice canopy.
Unfortunately, mine take longer than 3 months and are still small, despite good fertilization.... what is the name of this turbo passion fruit? Or how old were the plants u put in the container?
