Growing Tall Colorado Blue Spruce 

Hi, thanks for watching, the PK are depending on the soil results, Spruce require between 20-60#/acre of Nitrogen depending on tree age. Our soil tests tell us we have very good levels of Phosphorus and only need to add Nitrogen and Potassium. We do this by hand on a tree by tree basis to best utilize and save costs.

I’m sorry. I completely forgot about that part of your question. We only apply once in the spring. MSU did a study on split applications and it did not have an affect on tree growth. So they figured why do the same job twice.

Thanks. Some have good genes. Those were planted on farm in 2014 as 2-2 or 2-1. So 6 growing years or us.
