Honey Trail and Fenster Farm are on similar journeys. I will be building my 9th greenhouse next month. These are 30'X148'. They are game changers. I'm enjoying your content. We could probably bounce things off each other if you'd like. I've been doing this for 15 years and I am always learning. Take care my new friends! Chuck and Darlene Fenster

😂 now those are some happy pigs whenever our Palpaw had his milk distributor our pigs, they got ice cream cottage cheese❤ happy bacon Every once a while, make sure you drain your irrigation lines the admitters get a little clogged up towards the heat of the season. we usually have a extra spout at the mainline or will shop vac it. that green algae is gross but it sure makes things grow fast.

I can't believe how much you are growing by yourself! It's awesome and inspiring. Any way you could do a video showing how you have started everything and what you are using to grow in? I know you are soil blocking and I see you are using crates. Maybe just a tour of what you have growing in the greenhouse and how you are growing them? You are definitely inspiring me to give soil blocking a go next season. Using trays and plastic containers is getting old quick especially when up potting everything.

Here is something to think about over the next few seasons of your tomato high tunnel. It took me five seasons to fine tune my system. First off, "economy of motion" is everything in high tunnels. Your high tunnel ground is your most valuable real-estate on your farm. We cant afford to put in hundreds and hundreds of hours each season just in the tomato house now can we? I grow tomatoes in two 26' x 100' basic high tunnels, no heat or fans. I only plant 100 plants per high tunnel and average over 3000 pounds per season per high tunnel. I plant five single rows with the plants spaced at 4 1/2 ft in the rows. I plant only 20 plants per row and then have work space at the ends. I also use tomahooks and tomato trellis clips with over head cables. Huge time savers. I prune my plants to allow as many leaders as I can get per plant. I only averaged 8lbs per single leader system when I started out. Now I easily average 30 -40lbs per plant. No matter how many tomato plants you have, you must prune. Its a lot easier to prune and train 100 plants then it is to keep up on over 380 plants. I only have 425 ft of rows to work compared to your 770 ft of rows. Harvesting takes less time since I only have 5 rows. I stopped using drip watering and went back to direct watering with a hose. I spent sooo much time screwing around with bad connections, leaks etc.

Great video again, Kim. I forgot on your last video about the fruit trees I wanted to tell you to get Nicole Apelian's book about wild plants and trees. Not only for food bit medical purposes. If you haven't read it, you might want to check it out.

I'm curious about your drip irrigation over the top of the plastic -- does it seep through or will you get some loss?

No one buys what they want, only what they can afford. Just grow into it. Early in start up of my business I would have to tell myself " you ain't broke, you just don't have any money." Plenty of inventory and tools. Like high tunnels. One used and now 2 more.

@@honeytrailfarm 40 acres and a mule. It's not hard to see who's pulling the wagon. Then a need to move tripod and camera to focus on the next event in the series of the video days. I keep my notifications on and I hope others can see the things that aren't on video. I LIKe and SHARE. And am patient to see another when the wagon isn't so heavy to pull. Good job Kim

I am looking into purchasing a smaller high tunnel or a starter greenhouse. Do you have any suggestions?
