Hi, I love your videos, thanks for sharing them. If you are taking cuttings of Natives, how do you harden them off if they have been inside the nursery with a cover over them and misted daily? Cheers.

Good question: I have different shade houses with different coverings. One has 80% shade, another 50%. I also have areas near or under trees that get quite a lot of sun. I can put plants out to harden off for a week or two before planting. Also, I tend to plant mostly in the Autumn, Winter when it’s cooler and overcast most of the time. I water them in and rely on rain to get them a good start.

Is that just Auxin root hormone in the gel? It’s a pretty common one. Thanks, love the channel.

Yes its a store bought rooting hormone. I have started a video on using willow branches to make a rooting dip so will get that out soon hopefully.a

Can this work with seed raising mix as well?

I think with totara it would but I do like the coarser mix for cuttings.

Hi there thanks for showing us how to grow natives. Just wondering what type of set up you have for your nursery I am wanting to build something simple.

Sorry to take so long to reply. I will do a short video soon to show my set up. It's all pretty simple and cheap, using recycled materials where I can.
