I was a PBS kid, Nickelodeon kid, Cartoon Network kid, and... A Qubo kid. I watch some Nickelodeon while with my grandparents, and I saw Cartoon Network when at hotels and watched it on my own in my later teen years, and PBS kids and Qubo were on at my home. If none of yall don't know Qubo, then ya don't know. Yall who do... Remember He-Man and She-Ra? Remember Pippi Longstocking, Artzooka!, and The Mysteries of Alfred Hedgehog?? Out of all of these shows, I think Arthur was by far one of the most educational and meaningful one. I also grew up without cable, And it is so interesting to see my childhood be expressed by famous a RU-vidr. But back to Arthur. Arthur, like you said, covered a lot of very deep topic, And I feel that now it is gone, A lot of children won’t be exposed to those topics and early age.

As someone who grew up watching pbs kids, i will say that those shows made learning fun and somehow made more sense than school. For one, i had enough common knowledge of knowing that maple syrup comes from maple trees, but i really enjoyed that one episode from Curious George about the whole process of making maple syrup!

As a kid not only did I not have cable, I didn’t have antenna tv ether. I didn’t even get pbs kids. All I had was a dvd player and Nintendo Wii system for entertainment. Now days my mom has streaming for all of us, but back then if we wanted to watch any shows we had to go to my grandparents. I did know about PBS years later and love pretty much all the shows you mentioned here and more.

My boyfriend (born in 1985) grew up without cable, I asked him about it and he said that with the rooftop antenna, he could pick up 7 or 8 channels and that he had fun when it rained trying to see what other TV channels came in. So I guess growing up without cable makes rainy days more fun? He watched a lot of PBS as a kid but also cartoons on FOX and CBS. I grew up with basic cable because I live somewhere that an antenna would pick up next to nothing. He also said you got used to fuzzy pictures and it was just something you dealt with. He explained it like watching a video in 144p with dirty glasses or sunglasses and white noise the whole time (from static). I was thinking "that must have sucked" but he said he was used to it so it was normal to him.

Hell yeah, I was a pbs kids super fan as a child. I was born in the early 2000s so the first shows I watched were on pbs kids, then I found Cartoon Network and I started watching all those amazing old cartoons like Dexter’s Lab, the original Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans, Scooby Doo Where are you? My favorite show in the whole world Steven Universe and a lot more. But for pbs kids I loved so many of the shows, my favorite show was Dinosaur Train. I don’t know what it was about a T-rex living with a family of Pterodons, or the hands down best character that was the conductor of the train who’s a velociraptor, but that show was amazing. I was also all about Martha Speaks, Curious George, classic Sesame Street, and Wild Kratts. Pbs kids was my childhood in a nutshell, that and Cartoon Network.

idk why I am ranting about this and do not judge me. I remember this game (keep in mind tiny me had super low standards, which is why blood does not scare me) I remember this game where there were these mini games with danial tiger staring at you with his friend and then one of them is suddenly like: "I GOTTA PEE" and then you tap on them and we see them sitting on a toilet (#Ireggretchildhood) and then we tapped on them just to see what they have to do, they were literally like: okay first you squish these gross blobby things from your a** then you grab toilet paper and stick your hand in the toilet then shift slightly. also I did not do that, all I did was play the minigames. Also there were mini MINI games where you just sat this one tiny character I did not recognize on a changing table and just wait for that guy to crap his diaper until you leave the minigame. weird game. 5 YEAR OLD ME SUCKED
