Hi Guys, love watching your channel so much you've inspired me to comment. Why??? Its so REAL!!! Cold Calling the long waits for a NO, the bank account, in another clip cleaning gutters, Luke you left a gutter tool at another job. So TRUE, these things happen. Other channels are so perfect and things run so smooth.....aaahhh not always the case in the "REAL WORLD". Thank you, the real world is more inspiring then the perfectly edited one.
Hey Luke, it's nice that you post your struggles, like all the No's you get as well as your successes. Its makes your videos so much more relatable. Anyway, I've been trying to over come the "corporate handles those decisions" response I get when I do store front canvassing. Got any tips? Thanks again.
Absolutely man! Honestly every company will go through this...its not raining paychecks and new customers every day 😂 I could help with that. Hit me up on lukethewindowcleaner.com/community
Absolutely! It can be tough out there. If you guys ever want to connect with reanna and I be sure to sign up to our forum Www.lukethewindowcleaner.com/community
If I find any excuse to escape to my studio (where all my music instruments are) to start writing music instead of working, I will..rain is an easy one.. I have found myself here on a lot of rain days as it happens to be my storage/office as well for my cleaning and service business.. That being said, I am inspired by the video and part of the job that I actually like is working on selling yourself, and that professional level of service to create jobs and opportunities for your business. I will be forcing myself out more rain days this spring, thanks guys!
It would have to be middle of winter to relax on rainy days, otherwise I have far too many bookings for gutter cleaning and soft house washing. Maybe sort out some tax and accounting paper work. Good idea once a month do machine oil changes and minor cleaning of equipment. Sometimes if forecast is bang on I schedule some interior window cleaning. Enjoy your Vids
Do you find that when your out trying to get business on a rainy day you get a lot of no's, compared to going out on a sunny day? I found that when I went out and did that on a rainy day trying to get residential I'd get a lot of no's with comments like the rain is washing them today.
Yes I have seen that. But we still want to make use of our day. Only so much admin work that can be done . Sales is what I'm focused on right now. That and finding a good employee lol
6:00 In another video you mentioned pricing a one-off cleaning, vs a discounted price once the first-time clean was done and they want to go quarterly, lets say. I regret not asking this then, but do you offer some form of "contract" to storefronts for regular services at a guaranteed schedule & rate? If so, is there any way I can see what that looks like, or do you have a good template to check out? Alternatively, if you don't do contracts, could you explain why you've chosen not to go that route? How do you affirm with your customers that you have them scheduled for quarterly cleaning at a set rate?
Hey Luke when you said multiple store discount how much you charge per window, question is because I do pressure wash for a restaurant chain and they ask me to clean there windows here and there but I want to do that like at least once a month, they have 13 stores, please advice thanks.
My business got crippled when fishwindowcleaning came back into Memphis Tennessee back in 2013, but they charge so cheaply the workers usually don't end up doing a good job. I should have managed my business a lot better instead of being afraid. Penzeys Spices went with fish window cleaning and they were eventually just satisfied with their work as well as Penzeys Spices went out of business and recently resurfaced. The owner I guess of Penzeys Spices called me and wanted me to come out and give him a free estimate😂 so since he would not pay the $50 for the estimate I gave him a rough estimate over the phone and he didn't like my pricing so he said he can literally pay anyone a few dollars to clean his windows. I was just like that's so disrespectful. People act like professional window cleaning and even just window cleaning itself is nothing....
Nah, Bro. There are 91 QT stores. After waiting a year and spending 2 weeks compiling all the bids for every store. Then technically winning the bid. They had the previous company match my bid and gave my company a big metaphorical middle finger. Thanks for making the Vids. I don't have hate for other glass cleaners. There is so much business and not enough "Good" cleaners. But, I never market Kansas city or Independence out of respect for your company.
@@LukeTheWindowCleaner I apologize, I didn't see your reply right away. I own Scenic Glass Cleaning. We've been around for many years, just not under our current name. We only recently began marketing... To answer your question, yes, that was the entire KC area. Wichita is on Lock they don't even entertain bids. St. Louis is available for bid, but who wants to service that nightmare?
@@LukeTheWindowCleaner Nebraska has potential for a quick run. Two WFP's and you could make short work of Omaha. Unfortunately, there is still a year before the end of their contract.
Will be going this next year for sure. Shirts should be for sale in the next few months. Just trying to wrap up this season and a few other things behind the scenes first.
Heys Guys , your awesome window cleaners! But I can guarantee you why you miss out on some bids, #1 Tattoos and #2 your logo. I know you don't care what I think . But this business and it needs to be treated like a business. When you come to the door of an older person I can guarantee you they are going to be scared of you. I am not putting you down, its reality
@@LukeTheWindowCleaner sometimes I pull up the pic of us holding eachothers beards at the huge convention and then pine to hold your beard in my hand just one more time (no homo)
