Thanks Robbie!! Wonderful explanation for saving zucchini for winter enjoyment!!! One suggestion I might add, especially for the grated, would be to measure some for specific recipes, bread, muffins, cake, etc., make a notation on the bag and you are ready to go when you want a fresh baked goodie you will know how much you need/have!! Thanks again! Have a wonderful day!!!
That was fun! And you and that wheelbarrow... reminded me of grocery shopping except it was in your food gardens. 😁 I really appreciate you showing us how to save and use the food
ROBBIE, this was awesome, thank you. MORE PLEASE, love your kitchen segments! I think you should repost (?) some of your older videos that people may have missed, they’re fantastic!
Thank you Robbie for sharing this. I live in Vermont and I will have Zucchini coming out my ears in the next few weeks so I will be putting these ways to very good you. God Bless
So far I took 2 small ones off mine. I'd like more😁 I used to have lots, then the bugs came and ever since, even though I move where I plant them every year, they just don't do well. But I have nice squashes. Thought they were butternut but they look like spaghetti squash. And so far I have 3 decent sized watermelons, yeah😁 I used to grate mine and freeze them in portion size of 1 and 2 cuos, ready for zucchini bread. This year I started to dehydrate the slices minus the seeds (had 2 large ones from a friend). The dried ones get powdered and that way I can add them to soups, pancake and other dough and the hubby will eat them unknowingly😊 Great idea to freeze them in those squares!
Thank you so much for this demonstration. It all looks so good. When you showed what you cooked , my mouth was watering. mmm mmm. Zucchini is a favorite of my husband and i. so many ways to make it. We will use your method of freezing. For the Winter. Zucchini is so expensive to buy in the winter. Thanks for the money saving tip Robbie. I like that mushroom container idea for freezing.Nora & Manuel.❤🧑🍳🐝🥒🥣🍞🧇🤤😋🙋♀
Hello Robbie. thank you so much for teaching me how to care for so many birds and vegetables. I'm 68 and am just now starting to plant some seeds in buckets, totes and flower pots.. I live in panama City, Fl., Zone 9 AND IT FREEZES 5 OR 6 TIMES IN THE WINTER HERE. MOSTLY RAIN OR SUNSHINE. My problem is I have no one here to help me move big buckets with all my trees and bushes around. So, I do the best I can. I have severe heart disease and diabetes. I just planted yellow and red cherry tomatoes, green beans, cabbage, honeybaby squash, golden zucchini, walking onions, and five color silver beet swiss chard. some melon that was growing in my compost it is coming along ok but my lettuce mix is very slow. probably did something wrong. rained for days an it stayed too wet I think. I made some humming bird food today and I'm trying to fit together my first solar bird bath.. i hope I can do this and possibly get some or at least keep some of my health . I'm not able to get to the grocery store to get fresh food so anything that grows will be great. May GOD walk with you and Gary. Thank you for all your videos.
Thanks for all the tips and how to grow everything. I've been growing zucchini like crazy for the last few weeks. Keep up the good work and letting everyone know how to compost in place and growing zucchini and other yummy vegetables. I have to say though, that compost in place is what has really helped the most with my squash and zucchini plants. Thanks again for the videos and tips. Have a good weekend.
I thought I would have to cook my zucchini first before freezing it... So I don't have to? What a relief! Thanks for showing us your idea and I really love watching how you love zucchini! I love it too. We've been eating zucchini and yellow squash this summer, and I will freeze them like how you do for winter! Thanks for the video! 🙏
My summer garden is always a disaster. Too hot, too sunny and way to dry in the low AZ desert zone 9b even though I know gardeners that have success in the desert. I just can't handle being outside long enough to get anything done. I love your tub and chair garden!!!
Robbie you are awesome, when you open the freezer the second day that smile had me smiling too. Thanks for a great video. Have you ever tried making the zucchini into patties and freezing them either ready to fry or already fried? I was thinking of trying them that way.
I threw some grated squash in with green onions and sweet pepper and added it to some scrambled eggs with a little bit of pepper jack cheese and made a nice egg omelette. So the only thing that was bought was some of the seasonings and the ham that I chopped and put in. And it was yummy my husband even liked it and he doesn’t like squish.
I don’t think your husband didn’t like squash I think he didn’t know how good it can be and it’s kind of an odd name, squash. What you made sounds so delicious and wonderful how could he not like it 😊❤️💕
Nice haul Robbie. A question. Do I still have to freeze them on a cookie sheet if I'm vacuum sealing them? Second question. How do you prevent freezer burn? I noticed that you don't suck out all the air.
Hi Robbie,, thanks for this information on what to do with this squash. I have 2 questions about Turmeric. I live in Michigan, in a small apartment, so how should I overwinter the plant? How do I make powder out of it? Thanks for your time and videos. Love ❤️ all.
This is awesome info. I have wasted so much excess zucchini in the past......don't have to now!!!! I didn't know zucchini would freeze successfully. Better get a bigger freezer!!! 🤣🥒 Thank you Robbie from rural Horsham Victoria, Australia. I moved. 😃 🐾🦋
Thanks Robbie that was a good idea even though we don’t get very many zucchini out here in Tennessee seems like this year they have dried up to almost nothing. I do have a question I’ll put together a solar water fountain and I cannot get my hummingbirds to come to it no matter where I put it I can literally have them land in my hand but I can’t have them land in a water fountain they know it is there any suggestions
