Ok I get when you have feelings for someone you’re in so deep that losing them seems like more pain than just living with the situation you’re in for a bit more. But it’s only gonna get more painful, bc while your feelings get more and more deep the other person is just moseying along. Checking out other people and doing things that in the end will hurt you (only you) forever. Settling is the absolute worse way to deal. You’ll buy time, sure. I have had a few "non traditional" relationships. each relationship with another vibe and I guess "rules". It worked for me at that time, it fit to my lifestyle and I was happy. I don't get or agree with the bashing. First of all they are young and learning about relationships. Aaron was honest and told her he was not ready for a full on relationship. Ana knew how he felt. He knew how she felt that she had feelings for him and she wanted them to be together. They should have never gotten back involved with each other. She tried to convince herself that she could do a situationship with him where they have sex and see other people. She realized she could not do that. She wisely decided to remove herself from him for her happiness. Everyone we meet is not going to always love us the way may love them. That just how it is in this thing we call life. Proud of her. She will be alright. It's a lesson most of us have painfully learned.

But she didn't, she just said her peace. As a good friend, you shouldn't just agree with everything your friend says neither should you impose your values on them and I think Zoey did just that. Y'all love to drag Zoey for how she behaves forgetting that most people behave exactly like that some are even worse. You shouldn't expect a character to act all nice and happy 24/7 or act the way you would because in real life that can never happen.
