You have expert level style and by that I mean you look comfortable doing these tricks on a bike. In other words effortless

On the subject of no helmets.. Take a second to remember what happened to Scotty Cranmer

@@TrTriTrippin This title was just click bait to trick haters into giving me views, but if you’re going to bring Scotty into this I’m going to change the title. He was wearing a helmet and still got injured though. Could have been worse without it.

Yeah I changed it. Don't need that kind of stigma.

In antiquity and even before our population-concentrated agrarian and industrial based societies founded on 'science' there has always been athletic endevours from humans pushing the boundaries and learning and progressing our 'limits' and understandings of ourselves. From primal cliff jumping for region access or predatory escape to extreme tree climbing for food, or even testing the limits of climates such as venturing into polar regions or death valley, the ocean etc - humans have come to value mindfulness with regard to safety but 'freestyling it' so to speak (helmitlessness, etc) has always been a neccessary and natural requisite of our progress amidst the process of learning and understanding our limits. So, what he is doing is natural and safe by some working definition given that the serious disciplinarian helmetless folk are more incentivised to experiment with and undergo the nuiances of learning the tricks for the sake of safety. Because it's all they have to rely on - is their keen and deep understanding and control of the manuevers - which can translate into them being more conditionally perceptive with requirements of the task of execution, probability and consistency with which they 'land' and 'escape' faulter of even the dangerous kind. So there are good and bad reasons for wearing and not wearing safety gear. It is always good to promote it I agree, but for those who excell and can learn better without it - we must respect their take should they have the intuition for success without it. Unfortuanately though it has become a superficial cultural trope to go without safety equipment whilst most skate and bmx disciplinarians are better off indeed using it - because they are not passionates enough about the discipline to justify confidence and probability in their statistical likeliehood of suffering a potentially serious accident. So most people should wear helmets I agree, but I would never argue with this particular rider about if he wants to go without it.

@@r.d.b.941 I appreciate that. I do wear one when I’m not comfortable with what I’m trying or riding. Particularly steep transition or dirt jumps make me nervous. I also wore one when I was learning in my younger years.
@r.d.b.941
@r.d.b.941 2 месяца назад
@@frankthetankct Same. I only wear one when if I am uncomfortable. The key is to always be honest with yourself about when you feel you need one. Always jump on that feeling right away, don't let it slip you by and escape you before you succumb to image, ego, peer pressure etc. Never risk your safety for image or reputation. As soon as you have experimented with the trick in question and are done playing with it for the day - take the helmet off and go back to your regularly scheduled programming. Just know yourself your limits and be honest with yourself. Btw I don't think or feel you need to be told any of this - I was telling the original commenter.
