I was so hesitant to start this series because I was so afraid of the old couple actually being evil or some shit or backstabbing the twins but this put me at ease. I’ll probably watch it now.
I remember when I first saw the manga, this didn’t stick out to me until I skipped to the chapter that got this scene it was the most beautiful scene that is wow I may not know the context but damn… this honestly the most prefect Christmas chapter I’ve ever seen to the point it made me cry. The ending of this series stick out the most in my mind just because well there something so damn beautiful about it. So when this series got announced to be animated and was going to air during the fall season I was like OH PLEASE AIR THE FINAL EPISODE ON CHRISTMAS! I got my wish and damn it still beautiful
For real.. It's a big shame that it didn't get as popular as Sakomoto desu ga and it also kinda got overshadowed by the other big animes back in Fall 2023 like Apothecary Diaries and Frieren. I also checked the episode discussion threads on Reddit and it only got like a few hundred upvotes, unlike when it is for popular anime, those threads get thousands of upvotes..
Seriously I watched the whole series for like 6 hours in 1 sitting but I think he got it from trying to save Eiji from the fire? If somebody else sees this feel free to correct me if I'm wrong lol.
I’m so glad they got the ending they deserved I love this show so much and it’s sad to see it go but it was the authors final work before she died I’m glad they made it to a anime in memory of her a true masterpiece
I have 2 theories: 1) They already knew Hitori is actually Migi & Dali, but decided to play along; 2) Micchan is the only one who knows their secret, but accidentally slipped it out
It's mentioned in this episode that they figured out at the Halloween event. The mom said here that she noticed their eating pattern or preference from the time of Halloween. It's possible that they waited for the right time to let the twins reveal themselves.
This is the perfect ending. At first, this is the weirdest anime I’ve ever seen. But later on I feel sympathy to them and proofs that even the perfect family has some imperfections
The thing about migi is he's carried the anime for me because his outgoing personality if it wasn't for migi big heart dali would be in the dark they balance each other out😊
For me it was Dali that kept me watching since I relate to his personality more. He was more sensitive in a darker way and acted as almost an “older brother” to Migi even though they are twins. He would sacrifice being hated, hurt, etc. himself if it meant reaching their goal or saving his brother. But I also did love Migi too. They really showed their differences in the story and I was so happy the parents knew/supported their differences in the end.
@@soratatami9070 btw Dali is the eldest of the two [and I believe he's also older than Eiji since Eiji's name means "two"]. When they were at Akiyama's house investigating his home for the "water fleas" wallpaper, Migi was angry at Dali "for being older than him."
@@PinayGrl926 yes true, however only by a couple minutes. But even so, they are still the same age, hence Dali is still a child, same as Migi. So Dali stepping up being the older brother and acting as so throughout the story really grabbed my heart since I too am a older sibling to a sibling that is not too much younger than me. Being an older sibling, you have to sacrifice some of your joy for the better of other siblings and will do anything for their safety, so seeing Dali do so, really caught my heart.
Oh damn it actually got a good ending?!! I thought this was just another psychological-horror anime with how it was presented in the beginning. Its refreshing to see actual _good_ parents in an anime, might actually give this a try
you know how some anime episodes play the opening/ending in the middle of the episode for some reason? Guess what, a huge portion of the casual viewer base actually think the episode is over and skip to the next one. They are so casual, they don't realize some crucial info is missing. These are the people you ask the name of the main protagonist and they answer "Naruto Pikachu or smthing, where are the fights?"
@@stoffelthedestroyer3741but for this episode when the ending credits played there was still half the episode left, I doubt people wouldn't realize that there's still more
I respect that the couple was subtle about it while showing they saw/loved them both and waited for them to reveal themselves on their own. The couple probably wanted to reveal/ask about if for awhile since they probably had suspicions and was definite after the Halloween incident, but they respected their privacy and waited for a good time. Honestly they probably would have been okay if Migi and Dali didn’t come down together that morning of Christmas. The couple just wanted them to know they love BOTH of them very much individually and respected whatever they felt comfortable.
when i finished the manga, i was surprised on how good the ending became. i wasnt expecting a sad/good ending for these two. the manga was better, a little slow at first but it had so many plot twist after plot twist edit: i knew that glasses guy had a crush on him!!! they made it so obvious here than on the manga
@@aliya2723 oh yeah, thx for the answer, but i still curious about who Akimaya has a crush on? Is it Dali or the others?? But yeah mystery no 1 still solved
Can you imagine their surprise when they figured it out? It’s like being surprised that they’re pregnant w another child but this one was fully cooked, hot n ready, out the oven, from someone else’s house!!!
This is a really small detail, but does anyone else feel like it's really refreshing that their eyes move slightly all the time? There's something so much more lifelike about it, it's uncanny.
MICCHAN IS THE GOAT NOBODY CAN TELL ME OTHERWISE. EVEN AFTER DEATH SHE WAS WITH US ALL AND WHILE SHE WAS ALIVE SHE WAS WITH US ALL WE MUST ALL PAY RESPECTS THE THE SAVIOR MICCHAN
I don't even go here but I have to give the creators some serious props for perfectly creating the cultural experience of an American middle-class household. It's the first time I've seen it done so expertly, it almost feels surreal to watch! They obviously did some research. Also this is wholesome as hell and I'm going to be watching this anime now.
@@wolfgangchen7287 I don't recall it being explicitly stated that the story is set in Japan. Just because they speak Japanese and have Japanese names doesn't mean it is set in Japan. Where in 1990s Japan do you think they have such village designed like an American village and houses? Even the village name (Origon) could just be "Oregon" with an i instead of e.
I have to say that both parents are decent and friendly to their sons,as if it takes a long time to know that they are twins. At first, I thought they were were suspicious like previous anime, but I was wrong.
Not only did their parents notice there were two of them They realize their preferences! There's some of us that are only children and our parents don't do that!😢
I still remember... the woman (who create this anime) 🕊️Nami sano🕊️died a while ago. I'm glad they ended her anime with a happy ending. She is also the creator of the anime "Sakamoto desu ga?"
Where did you see them grown up? I just finished the anime and it didn’t end with them being grown up, just them all having a Christmas dinner and finally showing both of them. I wanna watch the full episode of grown up Migi and Dali if there is one 😭
@@geo921 AHH TYSM!! I can’t believe I didn’t realize there was still like 10 min left in the episode 😭 I guess I saw the end song starting and just thought “ok guess it’s over” 💀
bro pretty sure now that the bird guy has a crush on DALI ... maybe even dating ,like why bro matching clothes with dali's father doing activities together...the dutiful son in law ...and the scene here 4:15 lmfooo like what did u say !!!! and dali blushing like that
Yall dont know how loud i squealed after seeing them grown up scene Also no one convince me akiyama and dali are not together, cuz LOOK THEY FIGHT LIKE A FLIPPING COUPLE
Theres a special saying my mum uses when I wonder how does she know: “A mother always knows” and she already knew about Hitori being twins and told her husband and they both knew: these two boys are their kids no matter what.
I truly didn't expect for this to get as popular as it is because it's just too weird. But I'm glad, it's got that good charm. And I love the happy ending, rip the mangaka Sano Nami
I'm glad that someone else noticed that because that detail really flew over most people's heads. Dali got close with Fidelite and he fits the Doberman because of his logical and protective personality. Migi is the more outgoing, emotional, and sociable twin so he definitely have the Golden Retriever energy.
@@celestialpianosage3201 yeah and that one time migi removed his pants during the family lunch when they were searching for the button, that one especially was unnecessary, at least the baby scenes were supposed to show us just how insane that mother is
@@SmashTheAdam And the fact that she is really able to completely regress Eiji is scary. Migi just pretended but his brother really became a baby mentally again.
This anime was brilliant for only having 13 episodes. Most of the scenes out of context were so weird but I am so glad these triplets got the ending they deserved. At first I thought this anime was just going to be those silly animes where the twins just go on their day to day life living as one person but man was their relationship so well written. Despite their similarities, they both have their own sets of morals and goals in mind and the author portrayed their codependency on each other so well in the other episode. And their parents...oh my god they are just the sweetest old couple I have ever seen so far. They are not perfect, yes, but I just know that they loved both of the twins equally that they were even able to differentiate them from each other. They truly cared about both of them and that is just pure love. I love found family tropes, this just melts my heart and the mystery was great too, nothing felt out of place and it was well crafted. May the author rest in peace, thank you for telling the story of Migi and Dali.
This anime was so cringe but so good, I really enjoyed it, it was like a rollercoster of emotions 😂😂 I didn't know if I wanted to laugh, cry, or stop watching and couldn't stop
