Just letting you know and anyone else in the comments wondering, the feeding done in this video is wrong. Doves and pigeons are whats called "rooting" birds which means rather than having the parent stick its mouth in the baby bird's; it will reach into the parents mouth and eat. Having a syringe with no part that sticks out is best so it can stick its head in and eat.
i'm currently wondering that as well. i'm trying to save a baby dove rn. it's in the egg still. i noticed just this morning that there's a tiny heartbeat🥰
They should be fed every three hours for the first five days of their life to ensure the best growth, I use roudybush squab diet for the first 5 days then switch to Kaytee exact baby parrot formula until weaned
Also when the chick is 3-4 days old I add small amounts of the baby parrot food but I only feed the whole baby parrot food when 7 days old. Keep the baby about 90 degrees Fahrenheit for the first 7 days
First we gave samaposha liqide(more water) only for First day. After we gave samaposha a little solid and after more days we gave starter food mix with water.
Hand raising should be using a granivore mix to imitate crop milk for nutrition. Dove in this video is slow in its development due to poor nutrition offered Spotted Turtle doves should be almost completely feathered up by day 15 .
I have a nest with two eggs but the mother of the dove disappears from last week. I checked the eggs in light It seems that there are small veins in it. What should I do to save these eggs. And how long mother dove will not come back to her nest when she has eggs in her nest
I have found a injured baby dove i think it is almost around 20 day or 25 days young . it can't fly . Can you please suggest something to feed it and when it will be able to fly , though it can fly upto small heights but not much high.
I feed it dog food, he was dying when my dog and big brother found him lying on the ground with a bunch of big ants on his legs in the cemetery while visiting my dead father. He's been here for 3 days and he got strong after being here in such a small amount of time 😁👌
Heating pad. On low. Many now shut off every hour. You need to pay attention to keep them warm, especially at night. You can buy special heating pads that stay on constantly made for baby animals. 😊Hot water bottles work well.
@@smartvideo5608 please! I found one after the storm. It looks like yours on day 21. What food did you try to make him to pick on it? How much formula to feed?
Just feed it crushed adult dog food soaked in water with mashed bananas or whatever fruit you like but you can feed it small seeds if you want like millet or milo seeds
Hello I just found a baby green pigeon fell from a tree..it looks like 15-17 days old..how to feed it I tried using melted cat kibbles but he won't feed tq
Hello I have a first born baby who is a dove I am scared What should I do should I only drink water first will I give him milk?? she has two babies.. she has lost a baby several times so I took this last one from her nest. help me how her two babies can survive. thank you🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼how many times to take water in 1 day??help me pls.
It's very sad if you picked it from a nest . New born needs parents milk (not the food you are giving 😢) , that's the Reason she looks like a 10 days after 1 month
@@Techbrothers130 doves have milk (it's called crop milk) which both parents can make it in first few days of chick born and after that they will feed them digested seeds (until 1 month old)
@@leogircha9625 bro how can we make it because I also found a baby dove outside my house and he was only 10 - 15 days old can we make that crop milk at home
Nice video , how old the dove was when you let him go ? I have one that I reasing he is two months I left the back yard door open to go but he stayed. Maybe he is not ready . Can you give me advice about it . Thanks
Well doves and pigeons are known to always love around where they consider their home and if you dove got used to living there with you it’s most likely it will stay there since it considers it their home. Plus if it had a good bond with you it will likely want to be around you. Jus t make sure there’s food and water around always and it may even create a family there someday
@@CP-wt7bc thanks for the information but I built a little house for the dove outside in the backyard and moved its food also I took it outside it flew away . It's stayed outside for a few minutes look around then he flight away . Hopefully it will return to nest in the little house it will always have food and water but I hope it will do better where ever it's. Feel sad because I don't see it around the apartment it used to flight around but I'm very happy it's free.
