Groz-Beckert and Mayer & Cie. have a longstanding, successful collaboration. One of the latest fruits of this partnership was the development of a new needle with a pre-determined breaking point and a new spring sinker, both of which are used in the Relanit 3.2 HS.
The needle with a pre-determined breaking point further reduces downtimes of the popular Relanit 3.2 HS. As it is, the machine impresses with its ability to work reliably even with more challengings yarns. The new needle further strengthens this capability. Its pre-determined breaking point prevents the needle from breaking uncontrollably under high load or a defective needle tongue and, in the worst case, from breaking needle butts - which in turn requires a more complex intervention by the knitter.
Advantages of the new spring sinker are the machine running more smoothly as well as a lower noise level. It produces less wear and tear on cams and sinker butts and makes adjusting lower swivel cams superfluous. In consequence, gauge changes become easier. Furthermore, yarn tension in higher speeds increase at a lower level.
Another joint development is the LC max needle.
